Just had one of my best experiences in a Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend the squirrel fish dish, it's very authentic & crispy. The service is excellent, they even proposed setting up a background birthday song as we had the birthday cake. Will be recommending this place to friends & family.
One of the few high-end Chinese restaurants in Montreal! The food is authentic Szechuan, so be prepared for spicy food if you order from the special menu (it's worth it). I highly suggest reserving & pre-ordering the Peking duck, lobster, or Vancouver crab. Unlike many Chinese restaurants, service is excellent here. The free parking after 5 is also appreciated. Decor is casual-chic. & also unlike other Chinese restaurants, the place is spotlessly clean. I'm so glad Piment Rouge is back. It's a great place for a casual meal or a big celebration. Cheers to the Ma family!
As someone who's lived in Montreal for nearly 20 years, I have to say-this is one of the best high-end Chinese restaurants in the city. We ordered several authentic dishes from the special menu, & every single one impressed. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, presentation, & flavors make it well worth it.
The food is authentic. Unfortunately the rice is not fresh & hard.
Walking into Le Piment Rouge feels like stepping into the warm embrace of a favorite Chinese aunt you didn't know you had. Nestled in the hip Mile-Ex, this gem lets you savor the fire & finesse of authentic Szechuan cuisine without braving the downtown traffic-a win for anyone who values both their taste buds & their sanity. The dynamic duo of Virginia & Howard, treat every guest like an old friend, ensuring you're not just fed, but genuinely cared for. The dishes? Oh, they don't just speak to you, but they sing - like Celine Dion vocals with the beauty of Lucy Liu. Le Piment Rouge is a love letter to Szechuan cuisine, & trust me, it's one worth reading-& eating-again & again.
Everytime I go the food is absolutely fantastic! You can tell it's Fresh & authentic! It's defiently not the typical commercial food this is sooo tasty & different from the rest I highly recommend but Only thing I wish is for it have more ambiance to make it more cozy ...it's a very bright room that's beautifully decorated but lights need to be a little dimmer & maybe music a little higher so that the voices & convos of the guests in room gets simmered down with the music in background It would change the whole ambiance ...
Came here with my friends & at first glance I thought it is another americanized Chinese resto serving G tao, Wonton Soup & Spring rolls... Surprisingly they do have a menu for some real Chinese / Sichuan Cuisine with not so common protein choice like eel & rabbit. Food tasted very authentic & I would say even better than some restaurants I have been back home (AKA Chengdu, Sichuan). Price is on the expensive side & portions are not'typical Chinese restaurant' generous. I will definitely be back but only on some special occasions unfortunately.
Absolutely amazing, authentic Chinese food. Best we've ever had!
My wife & I stumbled upon "Le Piment Rouge Beaumont" quite by accident after a medical appointment in TMR, & what a delightful discovery it was! Initially hesitant due to its modest 4.0 rating & some critical reviews, our cravings led us through its doors-& we're thrilled they did! In a word, this place is *astonishing*. Nestled unexpectedly in its neighborhood, it stands out as the most authentic Chinese dining experience in Montréal. Our encounter with the staff only amplified our enjoyment. Brianna, a bright & attentive server, made us feel so at home that we were tempted to recruit her for our own business! Alongside her was a courteous young man whose professionalism matched her own. The culinary prowess was evident in every dish, compelling us to seek out the chefs just to express our gratitude for the meal that filled both our bellies & our hearts. With an average price of around $200 for two, the restaurant provides great value for truly high-quality fare. Our only wish is that it were closer to the West Island! Le Piment Rouge Beaumont deserves every accolade for its superb food, excellent service, & welcoming atmosphere. We eagerly anticipate our next visit, & recommend it to anyone in search of authentic Chinese cuisine. Highly recommended!
