I recently visited for brunch with a friend, craving something savoury & hearty, & the restaurant exceeded my expectations. I ordered the "Rustic" Bénédicte with Pork, & it was nothing short of perfection. The pork was tender, marinated, & pulled with care, while the fried mushrooms added a rich, earthy aroma that beautifully complemented the dish. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, akin to salted heaven. Meanwhile, my friend indulged in their fruit & waffles, which were as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate. The presentation was stunning, resembling a piece of art adorned with cream & delicate flower petals. The upscale yet unpretentious ambiance made the experience all the more delightful. Brace yourself for some seriously DELICIOUS sandwiches! Amazing taste, cute place & veeeeery nice staff. With its art deco design, this restaurant gives a very romantic setting for a brunch/lunch/coffee date. As for the food, tasty, fresh, delicious, in one word, AMAZING! I tried a lot of sandwiches places in this specific neighborhood, & it's the first time I want seconds! I recommend the classic & the club. Finally, the coffee is also delicious & very flavorful. Also, if you want to try the brunch, make a reservation in advance, a lot of demand & for a very good reason, delicious food ! A popular brunch spot in town & had to try it while visiting Montréal. We went there in the morning around 10AM with a reservation. There were a lot of empty seats near by but I would reserve if possible just to be safe. The waffles were delicious, very buttery & pairs well with the flavoured cream & fresh fruits. The mango lime smoothie is very refreshing & has a unique flavour profile. The lamb sandwich was also delicious, & came with a side of either French fries or potatoes. All ingredients are very fresh & service was nice. Overall, a must try while visiting Montréal.View more

Habituée du passé composé depuis 2021 & très fortement déçue des changements depuis la réouverture dans le vieux Montréal. La portion des oeufs bénédicte a été réduite de moitié, ce n'est maintenant plus qu'un seul toast avec un seul oeuf, mais le prix lui en revanche n'a pas diminué... Il s'agirait d'une décision pour "éviter le gaspillage alimentaire", dans ce cas un ajustement sur les prix serait fortement apprécié car je ne conseillerais à personne d'aller payer +60$ pour un brunch & sortir en ayant encore faim.View more
Quantités divisées de moitié pour un prix plus cher... Il n'y a désormais plus que 1 oeuf pour les oeufs benedictes (d'après la serveuse car avant il y avait trop de gaspillage. ok, mais alors pourquoi le prix reste identique On passe de 2 toasts à 1 pour le même prix lol). Nous avions une réservation mais nous avons été placé 30mn plus tard... suivi de 50mn d'attente pour recevoir nos plats. À 13h, 1/4 de la carte n'était plus dispo (dont des boissons)... pas étonnant vu la différence de prix entre les grilled cheese (30$) qui sont quand même gros Vs les oeufs benedictes (alors que nous avions encore très faim après ça) à 38-40$ ... Seul point positif : la salle est sympa. Trop cher pour ce que c'est devenu. Nous étions 4, 4 extrêmement déçus par ce « brunch ».View more

Plutôt décevant, l'esprit du Passé Composé de jadis n'y est plus. Les assiettes sont chères & on a pas eu l'impression d'en avoir pour notre argent, soit en terme de goût ou en terme de quantité. Les tables sont misérablement petites, parfaite pour le 5@7, mais pas vraiment adéquate pour le brunch, on était tout coincé. Point positif, il y a maintenant plus d'options végétariennes au menu. Definitely not impressed. I'll start by saying that the location is beautiful & the atmosphere is lovely. The food was good but for an average of $35 a plate I was expecting more specially if we compare with other brunch places. The service was not the best, the waitress didn't know what was the mimosa premium or mimosa of the day, she didn't know if allergies can be accommodated so she had to go back & forth to ask. For that price I was expecting for the food to come out at the same time & there was a 5 minute difference between my plate & my friend's. My meal came with a side but there was no soup left & the potatoes came after all the dishes were served. In general I don't think I'll be going back... The best brunch in mtl ! It's worth the wait. I recommend going early as there's always a line. The foie gras poached eggs is delicious & very filling. Brioche bread, poached goose eggs, grade "A" foie gras (Rougié), foie gras sauce, onion jam, prosciutto chips, poppy seeds, arugula sprouts, honey-glazed turnips. It's so rich, so good. Their panko French toast is also a great dish. Highly recommend.View more

Firstly, the food is really just OK, it's nothing special & it's overpriced. Secondly, the booking system for reservations does not make any sense. I made a reservation & I still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Two walk-ins were also seated before me. I had spoken with them while we were in line & they confirmed that they did not have a reservation. We were two people & a walk in of two were seated before us because they were in line before we arrived, but they had no reservation. The restaurant will also not give you a table of four if you are a group of two so essentially you have to wait until someone leaves the bar, a table for two or the big shared group tables. The concept does not make sense & is really not functional. I don't mind waiting for brunch as I'm used to that since most brunch restaurants don't take reservations. However, this restaurant should not offer reservations & if they will not honour your reservation.View more
