Mon conjoint & moi même avons dégusté les oeufs pochés au foie gras, absolument exquis ! Plat très équilibré & copieux. Les saveurs se mélangent très bien, la sauce vient parfaire le plat. Le seul bémol serait le service, les serveurs avaient l'air vraiment débordés & n'ont malheureusement pas pu s'occuper de nous pendant le repas & l'attente a été très longue. 90 dollars for brunch for two, yet after tipping the waitress deemed the tip not to be enough. She said you should tip at least %15 otherwise waitresses who earn less than minimum wage'have to pay'?. I don't know what they have to pay but if the manager of this restaurant charges 90 bucks for a brunch for two, it's shameful that its waitresses get paid under minimum wage & need to rely on strangers' kindness for their living. This was the first place I visited in Montreal, & the waitress's comments left a bad taste in my mouth.

I went to Le Passé Composé for brunch with a couple of friends, & we had such a lovely time. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a warm, modern, & elegant vibe.

I ordered the Champêtre, & it honestly blew me away. The combination of flavors & textures was so thoughtful & creative - a poached duck egg on brioche, wild mushrooms, pulled pork, & a creamy sauce. The crispy potato chips added such a perfect finishing touch. Every bite was balanced without feeling heavy - truly next level.

We came to catch up & relax, & this place delivered on every front: amazing food, great service, & a beautiful ambiance. Le Passé Composé is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates an elevated brunch in Montreal.View more

I was a big fan of the original spot & finally got to try this updated space - it's different in feel but still delivers on flavour. We had the Bagel Passé Composé (with fried avocado & smoked salmon), the Rustic plate with Gaspor pork & wild mushrooms, & of course, the iconic panko-crusted French toast. The textures & presentation were spot on, & service was quick & friendly. It's clear they've elevated their menu without losing the soul of what made Passé Composé a Montreal brunch legend. Super belle ambiance au soleil sur la terrasse pour un beau brunch du samedi matin! Personnellement je n'ai pas trouvé que le'Premium' du mimosa valait la peine (avec de la liqueur de framboise) comparativement à un mimosa classique, mais tout de même très bon. Oeufs pochés avec foie gras pour mon copain qui sortaient de l'ordinaire, os à moëlle pour moi & ouf, probablement un des meilleurs brunchs de notre vie!

An incredible brunch venue with great decor & a great staff that is always on its feet 😇 We made reservations & were seated right away & started with latte & French vanilla milkshake ❤? We then moved onto Strawberry shortcake waffle as well as Gaspor Grilled Cheese & wow ❤?❤? Every bite was incredibly delicious & made with so much attention to taste & texture ❤?❤? We went there for the weekend brunch which was not disappointing although it was a bit pricey esp for drinks & if you are adding sides. With such a nice weather day we choose to sit at their outdoor courtyard seating which is awesome. Gotta try their double Foie Gras it's a good portion for part of two & taste fantastic 😍View more

Really great brunch spot. It's on the fancier side in terms of atmosphere, service & price. Quite a hefty price for brunch but it was worth it. The champêtre (mushroom & pork) poached eggs were amazing 10/10. Would order again. Lamb sandwich was also amazing. They unfortunately didn't have any soup so that was a bummer, we had to settle for the potatoes which weren't that good. The coffee was a bit lukewarm, would have liked it much hotter. The seating was also a bit crammed but I guess they need to maximize tables for their businessView more

Disappointing & Overpriced Brunch Experience

I had high hopes for this place, but it turned out to be a letdown. For a brunch spot with premium prices, the experience felt far from worth it. Service was slow from the start-our food took over 30 minutes to arrive, & one dish didn't hit the table until 45 minutes later. To make matters worse, the food wasn't even hot when it finally came-lukewarm at best.

Ordering coffee? Don't expect any sugar or condiments at the table. You'll have to specifically request the exact number of sugar packets you want, which feels oddly stingy for a place charging this much. Table turnover & cleaning were just as sluggish. All in all, the service & attention to detail just didn't match the price point. Wouldn't recommend unless you have time (& patience) to spare.View more

Nous voulions essayer les brunchs du Passé Composé depuis un moment déjà. Pour nous, le'hype' n'a pas rendu justice aux plats, bien que c'est bon. Le bagel au saumon est décevant, rien de wow ou spécial. Le bagel était sec & pas grillé, difficile à manger proprement. Le grilled-cheese avec bacon & fromage à raclette est très savoureux, certainement un des bons plats. Bon rapport qualité-prix pour les mimosas en prenant une bouteille de prosecco. Today we were a group of 9 for a very special brunch. The ambience & restaurant was great & very clean. Service absolutely outstanding. Many of our group ordered different types of grilled cheeses & I ordered the French Toast (highly suggested from many customers on Google). Presentation & quality of ingredients impeccable. Our big disappointment was twofold…my french toast at first bite, crunchy, sweet but oh so deep fried. If you like fried dough or beaver tales, then you are in for a treat. But way too'oily' for my taste. The grilled cheeses were the same. Way too oily to everyone's liking. Perhaps it was just today, but was disappointing.View more

Aujourd'hui nous avons vécu une expérience brunch exceptionnelle au Passé Composé avec Guillaume un serveur hyper sympathique! Le service était impeccable : attentionné, rapide & chaleureux. Chaque assiette conçu par le chef de renommé Arnaud Glay était un pur délice, alliant fraîcheur & originalité.

Le Grilled Cheese aux betteraves jaunes était une explosion de saveurs : le mariage du fromage de chèvre, du cheddar fort & du pesto, relevé par la douceur des betteraves & du miel, était tout simplement parfait. & que dire du Pain doré estival? Son enrobage croustillant au panko qui a fait la réputation du restaurant dès ses débuts, accompagné de fraises fraîches, de petits fruits & de yogourt grec au miel, offrait une belle touche gourmande & équilibrée.
