Le Nil Bleu situé sur la rue St-Denis dans le quartier du Plateau Mont-Royal est un rare restaurant éthiopiens à offrir une cuisine exotique riche en saveurs. La cuisine éthiopienne est composée de viandes (poulet, agneau et boeuf) et de plats végétariens. Le Nil bleu sert des assiettes-combo pour permettre aux curieux de goûter à plusieurs plats. Décor exotique, composé d'objets d'art, d'instruments de musique et de tissus imprimés. Nous offrons maintenant un service de livraison!

We just had a fantastic meal here! It was not too crowded but by the time we left it was bustling. Really good, fresh, flavorful. Wonderful attention from our server too. I highly recommend!

Endroit cosy avec une belle déco.
La cuisine est excellente. Nous avons pris des plats à partager avec plusieurs petites préparations, très bien quand on ne connais pas la cuisine africaine.

Mon restaurant préféré à Montréal. Excellent service, personnel chaleureux & professionnel. Mets délicieux de l'entrée aux desserts incluant les cocktails, très belles expériences à chaque fois, très bons moments à partager. Je ne recommande aucun plat en particulier, car tout est bon (demandez à doser le piment comme vous le souhaitez), en revanche, je vous suggère de choisir le plat pour 2 personnes, vous pourrez goûter à tout pour environ 60$ pour les 2 personnes.
N'hésitez pas, allez y. Il y a un parking extérieur payant juste en face du restaurant si jamais vous ne trouvez pas de place sur les rues avoisinantes.

This restaurant is a gem!
I love everything about it, the exquisite food, the staff, the decor, the ambiance etc. Every visit is a vibrant experience. One never gets disappointed.

For so many years each time when revisiting Montreal I have a pleasure to dine in Nil Bleu. It is a fun & tasty food. Recommend Blue Sangria.

Le Nil Bleu felt truly special. The food was beautifully made & full of rich flavor. The staff were gracious & attentive, & the atmosphere had a calm, refined charm that made the evening feel a little luxurious. Definitely recommend to everyone!

Super expérience dans ce restaurant éthiopien !
Une très belle découverte : la nourriture était délicieuse, pleine de saveurs, & l'expérience en elle-même était vraiment originale. Le service était chaleureux, l'ambiance authentique, & on sent que tout est préparé avec soin.
Un endroit que je recommande à 100 % si vous voulez sortir des sentiers battus & vivre un vrai moment dépaysant à Montréal !

This restaurant is amazing! The food is fresh flavourful & clearly made with care. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, & the owner makes everyone feel at home. The staff are friendly, attentive & always smiling overall it's a great place with delicious food & wonderful people - I recommend everyone tries this amazing place. I will definitely be coming back!

For dinner last night, my friend & I were lamenting about the fact that we are so glad this restaurant is still around. Great ambiance, amazing service & flavors!
The only unfortunate changes we noticed are how much smaller portions have gotten, which is a shame because it's so delicious & it're reduced to two bites a flavor. The tables for two are also extraordinarily small & feel claustrophobic, but otherwise, I recommend this restaurant regardless.

My wife & I were staying at the hotel & we're lucky enough to eat dinner here one night; amazing! We have had Ethiopian food before, & this was by far the best experience. The food, the service, the drinks & the atmosphere were all fantastic & I highly recommend it to others. If you have never had Ethiopian food before, then you owe it to yourself to check this place out, you will not be disappointed!

Divin!!!!, la nourriture était délicieuse. Épicée mais modérée, non brûlant en bouche. J'ai également apprécié le service: Personnelle présente mais discrète non suffocante. Un restaurant parfait si vous recherchez une ambiance calme & intime. Fortement recommandé.

We were experiencing Ethiopian food for the first time. The 2 course tasting menu was recommended by our server & we loved it. Service was attentive, polite & professional. We would go again on our next visit to Montreal.

Je suis allé 3 fois au Nil Bleu & à chaque fois j'ai retrouvé la même ambiance agréable & relaxante... excellent service avec un serveur attentionné. Ils ne mettent aucune pression pour que nous quittions au plus vite comme dans certains resto !! Je le recommande a ceux qui veulent faire la découverte d'une gastronomie exotique & savoureuse !!!

We were visiting Montreal from Texas & ate at this restaurant on our last night in town. The food was fabulous. We had only eaten Ethiopian food once before & weren't sure we were fans. We are now! We had the meat & vegetable tasting menu & liked everything. The spices & the freshness were very appetizing. It was a large amount of food & we couldn't finish it all as much as we wanted to. The people that worked there were very friendly & accommodating. If we lived in town this would be one of our go to establishments. Highly recommend it.
