First it must be said to those who avoid eating gluten free because they think it doesn't taste good they can put their fears to rest. This is an amazing place! Croissants, Crepes, waffles & all kinds of sweets. The food is noticeably prepared with care & love. I challenge anyone to taste the difference. But now the real truly amazing part, my wife has an airborne allergy to wheat & has not had good pasties in a very long time(unless she makes them herself) We were able to have lunch & dessert without worry of contamination & she didn't need to epipen. It was absolutely delicious. Please stop in a support next time in Montreal! Forgot to mention GF & some Dairy free too!View more

I have been following a GF diet since a while. It has been very challenging to find good sweets & pastries that are GF & at good prices not super high. I went yesterday to Le Marquis & I tried a cold sandwich "Le Classique" & it was so good. Also, I tried a dark chocolate sweet (can't recall its name). I tried the almond croissant & I bought some Madeline cookies (did not try it yet but I know that they are so good. They have many options that are GF & celiac safe. They have hot & cold drinks. The two guys who work there were so kind & attentive. They also have frozen ready pastries that you can buy & bake at home. The location of the place is very strategic that you can enjoy some sweets & pastries & then have a great walk on the streets of the beautiful old port ❤️ Go & give it a try❤️View more

I recently visited this bakery that serves 100% gluten-free items, & I was blown away by the experience! There were so many options, especially the croissants, which were absolutely delicious. We found this great gluten free pastry shop/cafe on the first day of our trip to Montreal. You could see how passionate the chef is about his craft as he made our crepe (spinach, egg, & cheese special). We also had the waffle with egg & avocado & an almond croissant. It's hard to believe it is all GF. It had a great texture. The lattes were excellent as well! Even if you're not gluten free, it is worth the stop.View more

This place is the real deal for gluten free eaters. Everything is gluten free. The croissants are FLAKY & so big. The almont croissant is so so good. The crepes are soft & delicious, the madeleines were great & the croissant sandwich was delicious as well. You really can't tell any of it is gluten free. I had to double check that what I was eating was gluten free because it tasted so good. All at an amazing price. We have many good gluten free options in Toronto but this is up there as one of the best pastry shops I've tried. I came back & bought a bag of croissants to take home to share with a couple gluten free friends. If you eat gluten free, you must visit here!View more

Often gluten free pastries can be underwhelming & not of the correct flakiness & lightness but Le Marquis delivered on all fronts. This place is a hidden gem for GF & celiacs! I haven't had a croissant since I was first diagnosed with celiacs, & it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable. Déçue par la qualité des viennoiseries...je les ai achetées en fin de matinée & elles donnaient l'impression d'être de la veille. Elles étaient sèches & s'émiettaient facilement. Pourtant la veille j'avais testé un croissant aux amandes qui était moelleux & sans miette. La religieuse au chocolat était quant à elle bonne mais sans plus. I HIGHLY recommend this bakery🤩🤩!! I'm gluten intolerant & I have never tasted anything this delicious before. Before I found out I was gluten I loved having croissants for breakfast & then when I found out I was gluten intolerant I tried many different kinds of GF croissants but nothing beats the croissants at Le Marquis Signature santé🥰🥰 The service was also incredible. The man serving us was so kind & helped my husband bring up our stroller up & down the steps & showed us that we could also purchase a bag of frozen GF croissants to bring back home.
