Absolutely amazing place - a true paradise for celiacs & anyone looking for safe, delicious gluten-free food.
I spent a week in the city & came here every single day to try something new. Everything I tasted was outstanding - sweet or savory, it's all full of flavor & completely safe for people with celiac disease. You can truly eat with peace of mind, with no risk of cross-contamination.
Service-wise, it was a mixed experience. Every time I was helped by the chef or the guy working there, the service was truly exceptional - kind, attentive, & enthusiastic, unlike anywhere else. However, when the woman served me, the experience was the opposite. She seemed annoyed to be there, uninterested in helping customers, & lacked any real care or willingness to serve properly.
Despite that, I still highly recommend this place for its incredible food & gluten-free safety. Just hope you get the right person at the counter!View more

Wonderful to find such a selection of baked gluten free food in old Montreal. The croissant sandwiches are delicious & the crepe stuffed with egg cheese & spinach was a wonderful breakfast.
I stocked up on croissants to take home & the best is they will ship!

Highly recommend this excellent GF bakery! My daughter & I were visiting from the U.S. & tried a bunch of items. We haven't had such delicious croissants since we were diagnosed with Celiac-the taste & texture were amazing. We brought a bunch of the half-baked croissants home with us & they were just as good. Not just the food (which was the best I've tasted in 20+ years with my Celiac diagnosis!), but the people who served it .. Everything about our experience at Le Marquis Signature Santé was delicious. We felt welcomed &, then, welcomed back when we returned for a second meal. Absolutely delicious food as well as kind & attentive service. I have celiac & have not had a real croissant in easily 20 years. I honestly wanted to cry tasting my breakfast here. The croissant was perfect. We also tried the pain au chocolat & amandine, equally delicious, as well as a caramel crêpe. My gluten-eating spouse confirmed that these are indistinguishable from the gluten version.
The service was pleasantly unhurried; the gentleman who served us took the time to take us through all the offerings & make recommendations. My fellow celiacs will understand when I say this was the highlight for me of a wonderful trip to Montreal. This is a must-visit for anyone who eats gluten-free.View more

Incredible!! So delicious! & tons of options. My celiac daughter asked if we could move to Canada just so we could visit her often. We ate Sandwiches, croissants, pastries, & crepes. The Owner & Chef was very knowledgeable. I have a dairy allergy & he had dairy free cheese & chocolate options for the crepes. Also many of the pastries were dairy free. We ended up buying frozen croissants to have later & bought extra sandwiches to go. The Chef said it took him three months to perfect his crepes until he was happy. & it shows they were the best we have ever had. This is a MUST visit!View more

This is the first dedicated gluten free bakery that I have come across since being diagnosed with celiac disease. I am also lactose intolerant & they also had vegan cheese! It was like a dream come true! The croissants were out of this world & the spinach, egg & cheese crepe was delicious! The staff were wonderful too! If I could give this place a higher review, I would. This place is all gluten free, so for someone with celiac disease, it was for a lack of a better word incredible. I was in Montréal for 3 days & couldn't get enough of this place. It's like heaven visually & taste wise. I have not found anything that even comes close in competition to this place. I've been trying to figure out a way to word a review that would do it justice. I unfortunately do not have one, but if I could have packed this place up & brought it home with me to west canada I would have. If they were to go world wide I'm sure world peace could be achieved as soon as people tried something from here. The only regret I have is that I didn't try a crepe until the morning I was leaving because I couldn't get enough of the other options. Then, just when I thought it couldn't get better, the caramel crepe blew my mind. I could go on forever how good it was but try it for yourself & see, please if your local to Montréal give them the recognition they deserve & the support I wish I could if I lived there. The atmosphere & staff make it even better, & if I wasn't risking writing a book with how long this review is, I would go on about how great they were along with everything else. PS. My wife is celiac ... & this gluten free pastry shop is a place of dreams for her! We tried the almond croissant (her favorite), lemon tart (delicious), chocolate croissant (unbelievably flaky) & an egg-spinach-cheese crepe. All were amazing! The staff were friendly & helpful/patient as we contemplated the many options (if you are GF, you typically have few options if any in a pastry shop). If you are celiac/GF, this place alone is worth planning a trip to visit Montréal!View more

Drove 6 ½ hours to try the food here & it did not disappoint! As a Celiac & ex baker, I was blown away by the selection, price & quality of everything. It was so hard not to try one of everything! Guess a return visit is in order to do just that 😊 Server & chef were lovely, welcoming, helpful, there was space to eat & the Cafe was very clean. My non-gf family ate here as well & loved everything. We ordered: crepe special of the day (turkey & cheese), turkey & cheese croissant, almond croissant & some other pastries. If I could give more stars, I would. In summary, this is a GREAT place for everyone to eat, but for people who are celiac or on a strict GF diet, it's heaven on earth!View more

If you have celiac or are gluten sensitive, don't miss this wonderful spot! I don't know how the owner managed to develop such delicious croissants but they're fantastic. FR/EN Je suis coéliaque & je me suis sentie en sécurité pour manger ici - Tout est sans gluten. Les sandwichs sont excellents, les crêpes moelleuses & les pâtisseries donnent l'eau à la bouche. Il n'y a pas de pain malheureusement, mais les croissants sont vraiment bons. J'ai eu un coup de coeur pour la crêpe salée "spécial du jour". Le millefeuille était un peu rigide & trop sucré pour moi, mais ceux avec la dent sucrée seraient certainement ravis. Quant au service il était excellent & le propriétaire est très sympathique :) Mon copain qui n'a pas de restriction alimentaire était satisfait aussi ! ---- I have celiac disease & felt very safe eating here - It's 100% gluten-free. The sandwiches were excellent, the crepes soft & the pastries very appetizing. There's unfortunately no bread but the croissants are amazing. My favorite would have to be the salty "special of the day" crepe. The mille-feuille was a bit hard & too sweet for me, but would probably make someone with a sweeter tooth very happy. As for the service it was great & the owner is very nice :) My partner who doesn't have restrictions was also satisfied!View more

A gluten-free, celiac's dream!!!! Went twice in a row. Best croissants I've ever had in my life. Even over regular gluten croissants. They're not light & fluffy, they're flaky & thick! So good! We could not believe how busy this place was; definitely a demand for good gluten free goodies! After trying the croissants & crepes it became obvious why it is so busy! We drove 10 hours from Michigan after hearing about the flaky layer croissants & they did not disappoint. As a group we have 3 with celiac, 1 that eats gluten free without celiac, & 2 "normal" people. Everyone was impressed, including the people that don't need to eat gluten free. We will be back for breakfast for the next few days, & are planning on stocking up before heading home. This was worth the drive. 😀View more

I have been following a GF diet since a while. It has been very challenging to find good sweets & pastries that are GF & at good prices not super high. I went yesterday to Le Marquis & I tried a cold sandwich "Le Classique" & it was so good. Also, I tried a dark chocolate sweet (can't recall its name). I tried the almond croissant & I bought some Madeline cookies (did not try it yet but I know that they are so good. They have many options that are GF & celiac safe. They have hot & cold drinks. The two guys who work there were so kind & attentive. They also have frozen ready pastries that you can buy & bake at home. The location of the place is very strategic that you can enjoy some sweets & pastries & then have a great walk on the streets of the beautiful old port ❤️ Go & give it a try❤️View more

Couldn't resist taking a bite before taking a picture. I'm not gluten free but some of my family members are & this is the best place to pick up safe treats for them, but are also yum for you! Everything is delicious & so comparable to glutenous counterparts. My sister is celiac & happily eats things here she hasn't been able to in years. Like croissants & the pictured eclair.
