This is an excellent Northern Chinese restaurant featuring freshly made noodles that are just as good as the next door noodle show in the window, Nouilles de Lan Zhou. If this restaurant would create a show of now with their people making noodles they would be just as busy. But they do make their own freshly made noodles of all kinds as well as fresh made dumplings & also Dim Sum.
Service: super friendly & knowledgeable. They always push their famous lamb & noodle soup bowl - & for good reason it's awesome. They know their product well & can guide you to a good meal.
Atmosphere: the place is not trying to be a 5-star high end restaurant. This is more like being in china with tables & chairs to accommodate many & family alike. It is a bit cramped but it somehow does not feel this way & instead makes it feel cosy & friendly.
One big note. They do not have a washroom & you have to go into the adjoining building on the second floor to the left. This is not their fault, but the building management does not maintain the same washrooms well at all so go elsewhere if you can.
Food: everything is fresh, freshly made, & very delicious. We sat near the noodle making & kitchen that you can see from the storefront window. It was lovely to watch the chefs make fresh noodles, dumplings & cooking things. I wish it was easier to see the cooking like an open kitchen concept with a view that acts as entertainment.
The portions were fantastic & the quality was present. The soups were excellent & to my surprise even the small size was sufficient to fill me up even though I was super hungry. The dumplings were so fresh & the texture was excellent as well the stuffing.
The star for us was the fresh noodles. They were excellent & I would even say better than most in the Chinatown area.
On my next trip to this restaurant we're going to try some other traditional dishes as well as the dim sum which looked & smelled great with the people next to my group.Voir plus
Excellent quality of fresh noodles & tasty broth. First time here. & I prefer this one far over the Lanzou next door.Voir plus
extremely underrated place. the food is spectacular i think about coming here all the time hahahah. the ladies working there are so lovely & kind!! the lamb soup & hand pulled noodles is my absolute favVoir plus

Omg that was delicious. Had the lamb with #6 noodles
I WILL BE BACK FOR.MORE!!!
Such a reasonable price. My wife had the spicy chicken & mushroom. I was so full or I would have attacked hers as well.
Pork & shrimp dumplings...yum.Voir plus
The food was delicious - I had the lamb noodle soup & it was very good. Hand made noodles were chewy & held together nicely. The service was prompt, very polite & attentive.Voir plus
I'm a very picky eater but I loved the beef rice noodle soup they have. The waitress is very kind & polite. Would go back definitely.Voir plus
It's a tight spot, tables are close together. Noodles were good, not exceptional but good. Dim sum wasn't great either. The service was fast but they needed to be reminded stuff all the time. Overall, I liked the experience, & I plan to come back. I would recommend this place, but there are other better spots in China town. 3.4/5Voir plus
Great food, great prices, very friendly staff! Their noodle soup broth is really good!Voir plus
This place is a hidden gem. We all had the #6 handpulled noodles with lamb (on first page of the menu) & it blew us away.
& the family that runs the place is very friendly..we had a great conversation with the lady serving us.
Forget standing in line at the famous place next door & come here. The hand pulled noodles are better, the broth is better & the toppings are better.Voir plus
Nice quiet place in a busy China Town, instant Hand made to order noodle, tasty & reasonable price, very friendly services, worth to have a try the noodleVoir plus
Updated review (20250525): Two years later, we came back. I guess our tastes have changed, as this time, we really enjoyed the noodles. We ordered the lamb noodle & we (me, my wife & 8 year old daughter) all enjoyed it. They still accept American Express.
Original: We ate here because the other place had a long line. The noodles were okay. Not the style I particularly like. Just okay. My wife didn't like the noodles as much either. My in-laws enjoyed the noodles, though. They liked it so much, they came back two days later. They accept American Express which is a plus.Voir plus
Lotus Bleu is a hidden gem in Chinatown, known for their incredible Henan hand-pulled noodles with lamb-it's their specialty, & it's so good. Ever since I first tried that soup, I've been a loyal customer. Their hagows are also really tasty & worth trying. The staff is always so friendly, & it's a joy to see them each visit. The place is cozy & welcoming-absolutely love it here!Voir plus
this was hands down the best noodle i have had in a while. chewy & broth was very good (we got the spicy chicken one) & the smoked chicken was incredibly yummyVoir plus
Delicious authentic Chinese food. We had hand-made noodles with lamb & beef. Also, we ordered fried dumplings, daoko chicken, etc. Overall, the food was tasty & highly recommended. The service & the atmosphere were excellent.Voir plus
Very tasty handmade noodles, made in real-time! Plenty of options on the menu. I got beef noodles & the beef was tender & juicy & the broth was very flavorful. The pork wonton was also amazing! Staff was super nice & the ambiance cozy & authentic. Very reasonable prices & portions! 👏🏻Voir plus
The staff was happy, warm & welcoming.
The noodles are amazing.
Atmosphere was nice.Voir plus
Best noodle soup ever & the dumplings are delicious.
Order the small size for the soup.Voir plus
This is a authentic style of Chinese food selling house made noodle dishes, soups & dumplings & regional Chinese dishes. Very rustic & worn decor.Good for a quick bite. The service is friendly but understaffed. A must try is the spicy chicken mushroom soup with #6 noodle ( very spicy).Voir plus
Loved this place. We were visiting Montreal & saw them hand pulling noodles when we walked by. We came back later for dinner with our party of eight. Everything was great! Many types of hand pulled noodles & dumplings. Great wonton soup. Also the best fried wontons ever. All handmade unlike many restaurants that use packaged wontons for fried wontons. We got there at the end of the night so it was pretty empty & they literally made our noodles to order. They were so good we ordered more & they pulled some more noodles for us. The stretch them by hand & cook them in giant pots of boiling water & then prepare them into delicious dishes. I think the best was the braised pork with noodles, but they were all great. The staff were all super friendly even though we came with a big group at the end of the night. It's the opposite of fancy, which I appreciate. The focus is on the food. Plastic covered tables, plastic plates etc (solid washable ones not disposable). I'm giving them 5 stars for atmosphere anyway since it's cozy & friendly & they don't pretend it's fancy.Voir plus
Really great! Hand pulled noodles as advertised.
Delicious juicy thick slices of LAMB 😍
Tasty, flavourful broth (not overly salty)
Chewy noodles.
You literally can't ask for more.
We ordered the half herbal chicken, which was apparently a regional specialty, & we find it very tasty as well.
The mainland Chinese students beside us seemed to be regulars. The place was packed for Thanksgiving Sunday so service a little slower.
Decor / ambiance is not "high class" but the buzz from the diners & friendly service makes you feels like home.Voir plus
Excellent soups, with handmade noodles, & tasty roasted chicken (specialty of Henan province). I also loved the spicy tripe soup.Voir plus
They're food is so so delicious & you can tell they make it from scratch. The braised beef soup noodles are sooooooo good! The noodles are hand pulled. The Daoko chicken is also really good.Voir plus
Got a bunch of things. Highlights were hand pulled noodles all of the dumplings especially shrimp glass dumplings off dimsum menu. Rolled in at 8:30 with a party of 8 staff was very attentive & accompdating. Food was fresh & authentic. Definitely coming back next time I'm in MTL. Compares very well to Chinese food in NYC. +very affordable price although that was not in consideration when searching for authentic Chinese food.Voir plus
OMG!!! What was this place? If you like noodles, this place is a must. The noodles were super fresh, the broth is amazing & light, & the atmosphere is cozy & inviting. Gotta try this place if you are in Montreal!!Voir plus
Lamb soup noodle is so good. I even almost finished all the soup.Voir plus
Two of us walked in for dinner. Not a lot of people & we were served very quickly. We ordered hand-made noodles. Food was very tasty! Recommend this place!Voir plus
In the cold winter, a large bowl of beef soup provides much soothing. Tasty noodles. Friendly service by our waitress. Large size is a good portion.Voir plus
