What began as a quiet Saturday evening became an experience I will definitely reminiscing about. Le Grand Comité has been open for barely few weeks, yet the remarkable attention to detail across the food, service & atmosphere suggests a restaurant with a much longer history.

Every dish is crafted with creativity, precision &, above all, intention. The exceptional sourcing is immediately apparent: the trout, the veal & salmon roe were remarkably fresh, & the selection of wines by the glass, thoughtfully curated by co-owner & sommelier David, is outstanding.

The homemade bread deserves its own mention. Its perfectly developed crust gives way to an airy, cloudlike & beautifully buttery interior. It is so masterfully made that it needs absolutely nothing added to it. Sometimes, the simplest things reveal the greatest level of craftsmanship.

The desserts by pastry chef Iari bring that same precision & creativity to the final part of the meal. Don't miss them.

What makes Le Grand Comité even more remarkable is its hospitality. Rémi, Ali & David have created something rare: the feeling of being welcomed into someone's home, combined with thoughtful, meaningful attention to every detail & flawless execution, all without an ounce of pretension. It is an experience designed to be remembered

A special shout-out to Alex, who took such wonderful care of me while I was seated at the bar. His beautifully crafted cocktail was matched by his warmth, engaging presence & attentiveness throughout the evening.

I also want to emphasize how genuinely welcoming Le Grand Comité is to solo diners. Too often, guests dining by themselves are treated as an afterthought. Here, I felt every bit as welcomed, valued & thoughtfully cared for as any other guest or group, & that made the experience even more memorable.

I arrived expecting a quiet Saturday evening & left completely taken by the experience. I could write at length about it, but the conclusion is simple: you have to go. Period.

Beautiful restaurant, amazing food, & a great team behind it. I loved everything I tasted here, especially the cooked eggplant & the koji-aged beef, which was definitely one of the highlights for me.

The food is creative & technically interesting, but still feels comforting & approachable. You can really see the attention to the ingredients & the work behind each dish.

Le Grand Comité is exactly the kind of neighbourhood bistro that this part of downtown was missing. Very happy to have them as our neighbours, & I'm looking forward to going back & trying more of the menu.

We had such a lovely brunch experience! Everything was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, & had a true French touch. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, & the location is charming, making it a perfect place to relax & enjoy a meal. We especially loved the coffee, & the fresh carrot cake served with ice cream was the perfect way to end our brunch. Highly recommended-we'll definitely be back! 😊

My new favourite restaurant! Every bite was an experience of taste & presentation. We tried so many dishes & I can't stop thinking about the Duck. The farm to table freshness was evident & the quality of the ingredients spoke for themselves without heavy sauces to mask the natural flavours & herbs. The cocktails were made with homemade elixirs crafted by their mixologist & they were fresh & light & a great compliment to the meal. Ask for the Fairies Tears! The interior is beautifully designed to keep the buildings heritage with a sophisticated touch. The service is honestly like nothing I have experienced before. Asked our names we were greeted with a personal touch & felt like we were part of an inner circle of family & friends. We had the privilege to meet the chef & his staff & hear of his journey which has led him to open Le Grand Comite. Get a reservation fast before the long wait that will come when the news gets out & the stars start coming! Suzanna
