Le Café Big Trouble serves as an essential hub for enthusiasts of artisan coffee culture and traditional pastry arts. Patrons select from an array of meticulously baked goods that prioritize buttery, layered textures and precise flavor profiles. The establishment emphasizes a streamlined approach to café classics, favoring high-quality beans sourced through sustainable trade practices. Each cup of coffee undergoes careful preparation to highlight distinct roast characteristics and natural acidity. The interior space functions as a functional, minimalist environment designed to facilitate focus and efficient service. By maintaining a consistent standard of ingredient sourcing, the café ensures that every croissant and espresso meets technical expectations for quality. This destination provides a reliable standard for those seeking expertly prepared beverages and complementary baked goods in a modern, focused setting.
Le Café Big Trouble is widely celebrated as a charming neighborhood gem, praised for its eclectic, bohemian atmosphere and whimsical decor. Guests frequently highlight the high quality of the food, particularly the fluffy ricotta pancakes, hearty breakfast burritos, and house-made breads, noting that the portions are generous and flavorful. While the majority of visitors experience friendly, efficient, and welcoming service, some reviews point to inconsistencies, occasionally noting slow wait times or issues with service attentiveness during busy periods. Overall, it remains a highly recommended brunch destination for those seeking a unique, relaxed, and creative dining experience in the city.
Highly overrated. The food is délicieuse. But that s about it. The worst coffee in my life. I had a cappuccino, changed for a regular Coffee Just to realize the Coffee is bad. The older server was rude. The only reason not only one star for service because all the Others are very friendly. Atmosphere ist ok, but the pictures look much nicer than in reality. So, it is a No Go.

Hands down the best food I've eaten at a cafe in the last few years 🙏 I returned several times over the week to sample multiple menu items including pancakes, Lox platter, breakfast burrito, grilled cheese, & chicken sando.
The Lox platter was a very generous serving & great flavour in the latkes, the pancakes were decadent, the burrito was a surprisingly amazing combination of flavours, & the chicken sando hands down the best meal with the homemade cesar dressing.
They serve perfectly balanced Cortado's & their filter coffee was very refreshing.
When I return to Montreal this will be the first place I return to!
Very cool. We had no idea of what to expect but it was just fantastic! The staff was fun & laid back at the same time. The one server created such a fun vibe with her singing & getting into the music that I found myself singing along. Very cool. & the pancakes -- incredibly delicious!
