C'était bon mais le service était beauuuucoup trop long. Nous étions 9 dans le restaurant, dont 2 déjà servis. J'ai attendu 35 minutes un avocado toast (& j'ai été la première servie) entre le moment où j'ai payé & le moment où je l'ai récupéré ! 35 minutes pour une tranche de pain & de l'avocat dessus !! Yes, it's a really big trouble !!
Definitely one of the best brunch spots in town. If you want to enjoy the best avocado toast without resorting to robbing your grandma (but seriously, that bread is next-level), you're in the right place. Don't even get me started on the pancakes-they're better than your mom's, (no offense, Mom). But my personal favorite? The homemade Pop-Tarts, literally stuffed with love (ok, not literally). & of course, they serve a DAMN good coffee, as Dale Cooper would say. Café Big Trouble feels like home (but better).

J'ai apprécié la nourriture, mais il n'y avait pas de service aux tables, ce qui a rendu l'expérience un peu moins agréable. De plus, l'aménagement extérieur semblait en mauvais état, ce qui a affecté l'atmosphère générale du café.
Had breakfast here with a group of friends. All of us left the cafe raving about our experience. The coffee was made with care, the food was freshly prepared with quality ingredients-& was delicious! The service & atmosphere were friendly. It was a great place to start our day. Thank you !
I stopped by on my most recent trip to Montreal, although my hangover won & I didn't get there in time for breakfast, I had a really great iced coffee & the service & atmosphere was fantastic.
Unfortunately been a regular at the hospital at the bottom of St Denis the past few months luckily a sesame & chocolate cookie & a latte from Big Trouble is the perfect post appointment pick me up, along with the friendly staff & excellent vibes. I can't wait to visit under better circumstances :)
Probably my favourite cafe in MTL. Everything about this place is special, & it's a non-negotiable visit whenever I am back in town. Wish I could rate this a 6/5.

It's my go-to cafe for so many reasons. The staff is welcoming, the food & coffee is done with love & care, the atmosphere is friendly & brings that second home feeling. It's never really a full or good day without a stop at Big Trouble for some coffee. I've supported this place from day one & to see how much it's grown since then always warms my heart. It's become a staple for me. ❤️
Woke up this morning looking for a quaint but affordable breakfast & this place was NOT it. From the rude staff, banging of counters, & Montréal moaning I could not enjoy my meal. Asked for bacon in my burrito & for the great price of $4 additional to the already $18 burrito I got a SINGULAR SLICE. I will not be returning, so many great options on Denis & this isn't included in that.
Can't really understand the delights about this place. Quite mediocre coffee & food. Slow service. I was waiting for my burrito for 25 min to find out it's mostly scrambled eggs inside.

Pour un brunch ou un simple café, vous êtes dans l ambiance québécoise. Par contre venir avec la faim car pour l européen que je suis c est très copieux !
Food is amazing. Coffee is average. Service is so bad. Had to wait so long to order extra bacon. The cashier was just ignoring me "doing things in the back".
The ricotta pancakes were absolutely incredible- soft & fluffy , melt in your mouth goodness! Avocado toast on sourdough was also delicious. Yummy brunch spot!
My Own Prison of bad coffee ends here. This is the best cafe in the city. I didn't think food could take me Higher, but it did here. The coffee is amazing & like One Last Breath of fresh aromas. Come eat here & they will welcome you With Arms Wide Open.
J'ai adoré ma visite en milieu d'après midi où j'ai dégusté le meilleur pain aux bananes à vie accompagné d'un thé. Le personnel est d'un accueil & d'une gentillesse exemplaire. De plus , ce café du quartier Latin est paisible & très bien aménagé... Rare dans le coin où règne d'autres cafés satellites de chaînes...
