Le Café Big Trouble appears in reviews as a cozy quirky cafe with a lush plant filled vibe and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere; the staff are consistently described as friendly and attentive. The brunch and coffee are the stars, with pancakes and sourdough bread often highlighted, avocado toast praised for its generous portions, and dishes like burritos and sandwiches earning solid marks, while the coffee program is noted for balanced cappuccinos and tasty lattes. Portions are generally generous and prices fair, making it a reliable spot for a quick bite or a longer hangout. Some comments mention occasional slow service or wait times and a desire for online ordering to streamline the experience. Overall, Le Café Big Trouble is seen as a standout Montreal brunch destination and a cozy hub for locals and visitors alike, delivering memorable flavors, good value, and a welcoming ambiance, even if every visit comes with its own small hiccups.
Went to this place because the name was fun! Order the big breakfast & a latte, it hit the spot! The toast was perfect & so was everything else. Very cute & enjoyable atmosphere.
Visited Montreal last week & went here on a whim… SOO glad we did! Their big breakfast was simple yet incredibly delicious! My partner had the pancakes & I forgot to take a picture, but he really liked them as well. The staff were very friendly & the vibe was cool & cozy. Looking forward to coming here again on our next visit 😊

Randomly found this spot on St Denis & so glad we did! Delicious food & a total vibe inside! Staff is super cool & deco is like no other. A unique breath of fresh air!
We got sunday brunch here & it was excellent. It was packed when we got in, but got seated fast, & the food wait time was reasonable for the amount of people seated. I was in awe of the staff- 1 server covered the entire restaurant, & they were smiling & pleasent the whole time. 1 barista was kicking out amazing espresso drinks non stop. We all enjoyed really our food.
This is a fantastic place for a brunch. We tried different brunch specialities & all were delicious. The home made sourdough bread is very tasty & they have a broad variety of vegetarian & vegan dishes.
The atmosphere was nice & relaxed. There were families with children as well as young people & a few older ones. & everyone seemed to enjoy. The service is also really friendly & offered us different kinds of milk for the coffee.

In all of my years of coming to Montreal - never have I ever found a gem such as this. Superb food, cozy queer-safe atmosphere, friendly smiling (beautiful!!) faces.. it has it all! We discovered it yesterday, & here we are again today. Let that speak for itself ❤??🔥

Loved the vibe & atmosphere here, the food was absolutely amazing! The folks who work here clearly have a passion for what they do & it shows. The pancakes are a must! Also their sourdough bread was phenomenal!! Definitely check this place out for a delicious brunch & good vibes!

What a lovely spot! We arrived late afternoon, close to closing but they couldn't have been more generous in accommodating us. Fabulous food, loved the salmon platter.
Such a great cafe with some of the best pancakes & brunch items I've had. Staff is very friendly & has awesome acoustic musicians playing there especially during POUZZAfest. If you're down here in May for Pouzza it's a must to go for hangover food, or tired from no-moshing at Turbo Haus food if you're not a drinker.
