Across the reviews, Le Café Big Trouble comes across as a lively, quirky cafe with a warm, welcoming vibe and a strong brunch and coffee scene in Montreal. The coffee is repeatedly praised, along with generous portions of pancakes, avocado toast, sourdough breads, breakfast burritos, and other playful dishes, many showcasing homemade touches. The atmosphere is described as fun, relaxed, and visually engaging, with eclectic décor, a friendly staff, and occasional music or projector moments that add to the experience. It is often called a hidden gem and a reliable spot to start the day or grab a quick bite, with several mentions of great service and good value. A few drawbacks appear: service can be slow or inconsistent during busy periods, some visits noted long waits for food, and a couple of comments about price or ordering options. Overall, Le Café Big Trouble is seen as a standout brunch and coffee destination that delivers on flavor, vibe, and community feel.
This place is adorable, the food & coffee are stellar, & the staff are friendly! We were visiting from Toronto & had breakfast here (the wrap is so delicious as is the latte ❤️) The decor is also adorable! Would definitely stop by regularly if I lived in Montreal!
This is probably my to-go coffee place. I really love the coffee from here. I mostly stop by to buy the coffee if i pass by this place. The cafe is cute & the biscuit is really good.

Une bonne adresse en terme de brunch ! On y mange très bien (les pancakes étaient délicieux). La décoration est très belle. Lieu cependant un peu bruyant.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, super friendly service, gorgeous decor. Small menu but that means every item on it is well done. Worth visiting for just a coffee or brunch!
Friendly counter service (no table service). Decor was a mishmash but the music was a vibe. They had London Fog French toast as a special that wasn't great, very lemony more than anything. The bread didn't really soak the sauce in either. Espresso martini was fine.
