Though you can't go inside, this micro-café has a unique charm that adds to its appeal. With just enough room for a single barista to work behind the tiny window, the setup is cozy yet efficient, & it's easy to see why it draws in regulars. I ordered the $5 penne & a coffee, expecting something simple, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The penne arrived hot, perfectly seasoned, & topped with a generous sprinkle of parmesan that added a nice savory touch. The portion was satisfying, & for $5, it felt like a great deal. The coffee was also spot on-fresh & bold, a perfect pairing with the pasta. If you're looking for a quick bite & some excellent coffee, Le 408 is definitely worth a stop. Its small footprint might be deceiving, but the flavor & charm packed into this little spot make it a memorable experience that stands out among Montreal's many cafés.
