After experiencing a 4-hour delay at YYC & a rebooking for my connecting flight, resulting in a total wait time of 8.5 hours, Air Canada provided two $15 meal vouchers that can be combined. Is this sufficient compensation? Fortunately, Mary at L Auberge at Gate 52 of the Trudeau International Airport was extremely accommodating, & kind after asking questions, making my day significantly better.

Food was fine , I requested for a steak sauce which I know most restaurants will never make one, but in my experience a single order of steak & request granted . Thank you to the whole team. Your gesture really made me felt a lot better .View more

We stopped by for dinner during our layover in Montreal. Food: Ordered the fish & chips, chicken fingers, & the crab cakes. Food was extremely good. We come from Texas, US, where the food is known to be a delicacy. The crab cakes contained too much herb compared to crab which was brought up by the general manager who greeted us. I suspected something was unusual about the crab cakes & I did not realize what it was until the general manager pointed it out. He knows what is being put in the food that is served - a rare trait for restaurants, especially those found in the airport. Service: We were greeted after our dinner by the general manager Dardan, who was very cordial. He is also very self aware as he brought up his own concerns for the taste of the food. Our waitress Argyro was excellent - energetic, cordial, good mannerisms. Food came out in a fair time for a restaurant. Atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. Lots of crowd from all over the world doing whatever business. Interior of the restaurant is set up like a posh, somewhat higher status restaurant but is otherwise casual. Excellent ambience. For a dine in airport restaurant, the prices are fair. They are charging you the same amount as the cold, ready-made food options but instead are providing you with a main entree that is hot & freshly prepared. The menu isn't anything extraordinary like fine dining but is more between a mix of fine dining/fast food that you are already familiar with. Excellent service. We do not travel out of Canada too often, however this was an amazing experience that we noticed almost immediately after being seated! Seems like all of the staff want to keep improving the restaurant. If you are looking for a place to grab a bite, L'Auberge Saint-Gabriel will for sure earn your business.View more

Food was fine but fairly pricey like any airport restaurant. Shout out to Dylan our server who was the most hard working server I have ever seen, basically running around to make sure people get their food, drinks & bills & not miss their flights. Extremely impressed by his work ethic, professionalism & service. The employer should definitely give him a raise.View more

(From Saturday 10th of August 2024, 8:40 pm.) The food was totally fine although the service was slow, but this is ok since it can get pretty hectic in an airport. Nevertheless, an important drawback was the waiter's lack of manners: he tried to force-draw a tip off the outstanding balance without being invited to or even asking us, & would try hard not to give us the change back before we would tip him. Just to be clear: we have always tipped everyone in any restaurant or cafe in Canada. However, to not follow the usual & international script (which is: give the change back then get tipped or be explicitly invited to keep the change), force-draw a tip (attempted theft), & even get rude to us in front of other costumers (offense) would have led to proceedings had we not been pushed forth by the flight departure time getting close.View more

View more
