I had such a great experience at La Spada. The food was honestly amazing, everything we tried was super flavorful & really well done. The portions were also decent, enough to leave you satisfied without feeling over the top.
What really made the night stand out though was the service. Our server, Frank, was incredible. He was funny, kind, & really knowledgeable about the menu. He made great recommendations & just had a super easygoing, relatable vibe that made the whole experience even better.
Overall, amazing food & even better service. I'd definitely go back.

Expérience assez décevante à la Spada. Une adresse qui se veut être l'un des meilleurs restaurants italiens de la ville… mais permettez-moi d'en douter.
Les mocktails étaient bons. La salade au poulpe, bonne. Le service, correct. La musique & l'ambiance générale, sympas.
La focaccia était bonne, mais manquait d'huile d'olive à mon goût & était froide !
Malheureusement, la pièce maîtresse de mon dîner fut catastrophique. J'ai commandé les pâtes funghi aux pleurotes, champignons & mascarpone. Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise lorsque j'ai reçu mon assiette… qui ressemblait vachement aux pâtes que je me fais les yeux à moitié fermés quand j'ai une petite faim à 2 h du matin. C'était sec comme le désert du Sahara. Où était le mascarpone ? Sans goût, sans épices… J'ai dû demander du poivre histoire de relever le tout, mais en vain. C'étaient les pâtes les plus fades que j'ai mangées de ma vie, & je pèse mes mots !
L'assiette était blanche, sans signe de vie. Je regrette de ne pas avoir pris de photo pour appuyer mes propos. Je suis encore sous le choc. Concernant les champignons & les pleurotes, c'était une réelle partie de cache-cache dans mon assiette. Je tiens à souligner que le marché Atwater n'est qu'à quelques pas du restaurant & offre une grande variété de champignons…
Je m'attendais à savourer une bonne assiette de pâtes… Quel dommage. Peut-être que le menu actuel devrait être revu, voire retiré !
Les desserts étaient bons, mais rien d'exceptionnel. Passez votre chemin si vous voulez manger un bon repas italien.
Je regrette amèrement cette expérience. Insatisfaite & mécontente, je n'y retournerai pas.
Louanna was an exceptional server & made the entire experience memorable. She was attentive without being overbearing, consistently checking in at the right moments & making sure everything was perfect. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, & her recommendations were spot on.
What really stood out was her positive attitude she handled everything smoothly, even when it got busy, & always kept a smile on her face. It's clear she genuinely cares about providing great service.
I would absolutely come back again & hope to be served by Louanna. She truly elevated the whole dining experience.

We had the most amazing meal & experience at La Spada yesterday! The service (shoutout to Chloé & Lio) was 5 stars & the food was divine. Great atmosphere, easily in my top 3 restaurants in Montreal!
It was my first time trying this restaurant after hearing so much hype, & overall I really enjoyed the food. The only downside for me was that the pappardelle with duck ragu was a bit saltier than I would've liked, but everything else I tried was delicious.

From start to finish my experience for the first time at La Spada was top tier.
The ambiance was exactly what you want in a restaurant. It was trendy, high energy, welcoming, buzzing but not uncomfortably loud.
Great location with valet parking on a corner.
The service was impeccable
Highly knowledgeable wait staff. Friendly, attractive, smiling, & full of recommendations on what to drink & eat.
Now the food…

I started with the Caesar, which if you judge a restaurant based on this salad like me, then you'd heavily approve
Then the carbonara which was delicious, creamy & rich in all the right ways
& shared a delicious med rare lobsters that was truly Devine!
Will I come back?
I want to live in the janitors closet & do the dishes everyday for free meals! 🤣

À essayé! Nous étions au bar & un gros merci à Chanel car nous avons passée une excellente soirée & nous avons été traité comme des amis! Par contre, nous ne sommes pas certains que nous aurions eu le même service assis à une table car les autres serveurs avaient l'air un peu plus froid & hautain.
Les pâtes sont un must! Nous avons adoré nos cocktails également. Bonne sélection de vin. Nous y retournerons pour essayer le menu d'été. Superbe ambiance!
Tonight's meal at La Spada was a 100/10 experience! We attended the Snowdon Deli x La Spada collab dinner, & weren't disappointed. Between the delicious food, the delectable pickle martini, the perfect wine pairings, the beautiful decor, the kind staff (thanks for not judging us for accidentally breaking a glass!), & the impeccable service, I know we'll be back again soon 🤤
