Montreal diners describe La Sirène De La Mer as a standout Lebanese seafood spot with ultra-fresh fish, beautifully prepared mezze, and consistently solid service, where guests can pick their own fish and have it cooked to perfection, and the atmosphere feels both chic and welcoming; many praise attentive staff and a warm, family-like vibe, though a few reviews note busy nights can be loud, with slower service or occasional gaps in execution, and some concerns about reservations or value; overall the consensus is that this restaurant delivers a memorable seafood and Lebanese dining experience, great for groups, celebrations, and special occasions.
Food was good, service was mediocre. Weirdly enough, the beef was better than the fish. The appetizers were big in portions & the mains as well. A great place for big groups & events since they have a huge space.
Wow! Quelle magnifique expérience! Leur paella est INCROYABLE! J'ai aussi adoré leur salade fattouche, le knafeh, le thé à la menthe, puis leur vin. Je compte définitivement revenir.
Food is tasty, but service lacks. No one came to see us once we got seated, had to ask one of the bus boys to call in our waiter. Wasn't that busy etiher. Roger didn't seem to be in a great mood from beginning until end of service. Seems like we were bothering him each time we asked for something. When he was bringing our dishes/silverware, he was dropping them on the table like they were made of plastic. Very bad handling & was grumpy from beginning to end. Not planning on coming back although good was tasty.

Food is good. I had not been there is many years & it was good to be back. I had the fatuch salad & paella. I went on a Saturday at noon & the restaurant was pretty empty. The service was good & then after lunch I picked up some fish from their fish store. I tried the octopus salad & it was tender & tasty.
Ironically for a fish restaurant, the salmon was a little bland but the filet mignon was excellent. The chicken soup which was part of the table d'hôte was also quite good. Prices are reasonable for this caliber of restaurant & the service was good. Worth the trip.
My friend highly recommended this restaurant, which seems to be a mix of Lebanese food & seafood. We had oysters, truffle fries, grilled octopus, & frog legs. The octopus was cooked to perfection, with such a tender interior. Its accompanying side was just average. The frog legs were good, but the lemony sauce hid the delicate natural flavor of the frog legs. On the expensive side for the food served, but it makes for a classy dining experience.
