A Divine Encounter at the Temple of Gyros
In the realm of fast food, where taste often bows to haste, there exists a sacred sanctuary of flavor-a Greek restaurant so exceptional, even the gods descend from Olympus for a bite. This legendary haven is known for one thing above all: the gyros of pork, a dish so masterfully crafted it might just be the missing chapter of the Iliad.
From the first aroma that greets you, rich with smoky spices & the whisper of charred perfection, to the first bite-succulent, perfectly seasoned pork wrapped in warm pita with tangy tzatziki & crisp veggies-it's clear this is no ordinary meal. This is ambrosia.
The meat is tender & juicy, seared with a golden edge that crackles ever so slightly, whispering secrets of the flame it danced over. The tzatziki is impossibly fresh, laced with dill & garlic in a way that could awaken the spirit of Dionysus himself. Every gyro is a heroic tale in a wrap, every bite a victory.
Fast food? Perhaps by name. But in spirit, this place serves food fit for immortals.
If Zeus ever traded lightning bolts for street food, this is where he'd feast. & you should too.
As classic as it comes. Casual spot for Greek grill fare, which is a personal favourite. Guy taking the order is a bit gruff but the elder man serving the food was very nice. The quality of the food speaks for itself. Really good tzatziki too. Conveniently located near the metro.
Great food. They call it Döner tho & don't even spell it right: „Doner", & that's on the menu of greek specialities
Montreal Iconic place, Every Greek place serving souvlakis should aspire to be them, Don't go to Souvlaki Bar, Marathon Souvlaki or whatever the F there is. ligne rouge is your one stop.
Honestly, it has always been delicious & still is. Their Greek-style spit roasted pork sandwiches (gyro) are super flavorful & generous. Tzatziki is great (homemade?). Bread is a nice chewy flatbread. That red sauce (what is that?) makes a perfect sandwich.
Fries are fresh, not frozen. Onion rigs are seriously legit. They also do burgers, hotdogs, poutine, chicken.
Say what you want about the guys that work there, I love them. They're really busy at times, it's not easy work. Just be patient, be nice.
