I thought I would love this place, but I ended up not really liking it. The coffee was insanely strong- almost undrinkable, & I thought the pastries were too sweet. Maybe it was just us though, because people do rave about this place & it did go viral, but I didn't really like it & probably won't go back.
For reference: We got the tiramisu circular croissant, the red velvet croissant, & an iced coffeeView more
I am a local here & I've been a regular client for years here since it's my neighborhood. I have never left any comments but this time I just have to do it.
I came by yesterday & discovered this new Red Velvet Croissant that is recommended by the guy who work there. My god! It's is so good! It's not too sweet at all. It's like having a croissant & a cheese cake at the same time. The filling inside is surprisingly so good!! So creamy! It's is a light weight cream cheese filling! 10/10
Make sure to give it a try!!View more
Small cafe type of shop in the basement, not a lot of space to sit inside but some available outside during the warmer months. Food is great, from sweet to salty but the price is awful, after taxes you pay close to 15$ for a roll, that's enough for a whole brunch in some places, but if you're not stingy on prices than definitely try it out.View more
A cramped little store that makes you walk down some steep stairs to get to. There was also very limited seating. The majority of the seating was at ground level outside. But it was worth the trek because the matcha crossant roll was SO GOOD. It was stuffed & had such a strong matcha flavour. The chocolate & pistachio flavours were both way too sweet. For $11 something a piece, I would only recommend the matcha roll.View more
Matcha crossaint roll is a must!!! Very strong matcha flavour without being too sweet or too bitter. Lots of cream & matched perfectly with the crunch of the croissant. Definitely will get one every time I visit!
The pistachio one was too sweet & thick. The chocolate one was just Nutella on the inside & thus too sweet. For $11 each, it is a good treat since they are quite big.View more
The pastries were absolutely incredible. We tried the red velvet croissant which was so delicious without being too rich or sweet, we loved it so much we had to get more for the road! Also the coffees are really smooth & balance their sweet treats perfectly.View more
This place is ridiculously expensive. Almost $10 for a croissant is insane, but honestly, it's worth it. The almond chocolatine is one of the best pastries I've ever had. Definitely worth a visit for a splurge on a sweet treat. It's busy & crowded & there's not much room to sit down in the winter.View more
My friend & I stopped by to try their famous 📌rolls, & the Halloween 📌Pumpkin Roll did not disappoint. The creamy pumpkin filling inside is delicious! Perfectly balanced, not too sweet or overpowering, making it an ideal treat for the season. Paired with a warm latte, it was the ultimate cozy autumn snack. If you are in Old Port & looking for a tasty seasonal treat, definitely check this place out!View more
The food is so sweet that I feel like my blood sugar level is shooting into space. The best part is the sparrows happily snacking on my leftovers, but should we be concerned about their blood sugar too?View more
Pistachio croissant was yummy & big, very much shareable between people :P Pepperoni pizza was alright, loaded of pepperoni which is great, but they were not crispy enough. The iced chai latte wasn't that good, it wasn't strong enough & tasted too milky. The service was a little off, a little rude:( except for when I talked to the owner, he was super sweet!View more
if you're going to go anywhere to get a supreme croissant, let it be la cave à manger! the pistachio supreme croissant was to die for! buttery, flaky, soft, earthy & sweet. much MUCH better than duc de lorraine.... i didn't stay to eat but the patio was super cute & service was very friendlyView more
This café is truly a fantastic spot! Their variety of croissants are all delicious-crispy & perfectly baked, with the chocolate ones being just the right amount of sweet. While enjoying your food outdoors, you can also see some adorable little birds playing nearby. It's especially recommended for parents with children; the interaction between kids & the birds creates a warm & joyful atmosphere.View more
Tried the pistachio roll (croissant) here. First - it is pricey, at $12+ for one roll. The good about the roll is the pastry itself was really good & perfectly baked & held up well with lot of filling inside. However, the pistachio filling was too sweet, & was way too green which meant it contained artificial flavors/coloring & that is also reflected in the taste. I've had quite a few pistachio croissants & none of them have had filling so green. Based on that, I would probably recommend having a plain butter croissant but none of the filled or fancy ones. Should have looked at other reviews since many have called out this same thing.View more
The pistachio croissant roll is disappointing. I tried the mango & pistachio flavor. It is very sweet & I don't feel the rich flavor of pistachio. If I hadn't had any good pistachio croissant, I would probably say it was decent. But there r some local patisserie making real good pistachio croissant. & it's 10$ each, a bit expensive for what it's worth. But almond croissants is decent.View more
Such a nice place, I love the food there & I have to congratulate the cashier Flavi for the best attention ever, she was so sweet, friendly & kind.View more
This place was a new find for us. Fortunately our hotel was around the corner. If you like croissants, this is the place for you. We got these & had to come back later to bring some home for the kids. The ham & cheese was very good. So flakey. Hubby got the Red Velvet. It was decadent & unique. The color was 😍 gorgeous!! I ordered a cookie croissant. Literally just watched a video that week on how to make them & had never seen them before. Had to try it!!! It was so good. I could not eat the whole thing, but my husband helped finish it off. We ordered two more of those to bring home. We also brought home a tropical croissant. Wow. More to that than met the eyes. It was filled with a tropical custard. Just the right amount of sweet. Definitely would go back. & bring home more for the family.View more
Had pistachio croissant last time which was pretty tasty 😋 red velvet is a bit too sweet for me, cookies one is perfect!View more
The store is a bit small, but the food is really good. I had the pistachio croissant & a matcha milkshake, which was pretty nice. The pastries can be a little too sweet for some people but it tastes incredible. 100% would go back to taste their pastries.View more
I got the pistachio croissant & the cinnamon roll brioche. Both were absolutely amazing! The pistachio filling was a little too much for my liking but it was fantastic nonetheless. Also not overly sweet! They make an AMAZING cappuccino & fair priced.View more
We tried the round croissant ( one chocolate, one pistachio & one tropical) The pistachio was extremely sweet but the other two were delicious. Something you should keep in mind is that the site is on a baseman in case you have difficulties with the stairs.View more
Is great that they open early on weekends (7am), but there isn't much available yet. I went later on a weekday to try the famous pistacho croissant roll, is good, not too sweet & average size, but doesn't worth the 12 CADView more
The pistachio roll is to die for! I am usually not a sweet tooth. I also had the ube (purple potato) hot chocolate, it was pretty decent.View more
