How to tell our family we are leaving them all & moving to Montreal because of this bakery & their'rolls'. Everything here in this underground bakery is EXCELLENT, but their truck tire-size rolls of croissant dough with heavenly fillings put us over the edge. It's so good that we are torn to post this because you will come & try the fresh orange juice, great coffee & baked goods produced with the highest standards & best possible ingredients (not easy to do these days) & - then it will be even more crowded. But such an amazing place & the world needs all the amazing it can get these days. Making the world better, one pastry at a time. &, no, I am not even their mom. ❤?View more

Je suis venue initiallement pour les New York rolls & j'ai été déçue du Tiramisu Roll… il était sec:( & l'intérieur bien trop sucré, on aurait dit de l'érable… MAIS j'ai été étonnée par leurs sandwiches délicieux (tellement bon je l'ai avalé sans prendre de photos)!! Copieux, frais, & bien remplissant! On a gouté aux 3 & tous délicieux!
donc… Peut-être assurez vous que les pâtisseries soient fraiches du jour même? En tout cas, très bon plan lunch!View more

It's sorta hidden but once you find it, it offers delicious bakeries & good coffee.
The bakery was a bit pricey but it's located on a touristic spot.
I would recommand the Tiramisu Roll, its crunchy on the outside, & soft on the inside that is filled with sugary filling!View more

J'étais dans le coin pour quelques heures & cherchais pour une boulangerie. J'ai presque manqué l'entrée parce qu'il avait personne assis à l'avant. C'était très tranquille, un peu trop même. J'ai acheté un chocolat chaud & un croissant jambon-fromage qui était vraiment pas bon pour leur prix & un croissant amande que j'ai aimé. En plus, ils m'ont donné un cadeau après mon achat, 2 rolls, 1 au chocolat & l'autre à érable, qui m'ont ramené vers une note positive par comment délicieux ils étaient. Je recommande que les rolls.View more

Small cafe type of shop in the basement, not a lot of space to sit inside but some available outside during the warmer months. Food is great, from sweet to salty but the price is awful, after taxes you pay close to 15$ for a roll, that's enough for a whole brunch in some places, but if you're not stingy on prices than definitely try it out.View more

J'ai acheté 3 viennoiseries & un cookie, le tout est tres moyen & les prix sont haut.
J'ai choisi un cookie aux pépites de chocolat, un cinnamon bun, un roll à la pistache & un roll à la matcha.
Les pépites de chocolat sont trop sucrées à mon goût & le filling à la pistache à plus le goût des amandes amères que le goût des pistaches.View more

A cramped little store that makes you walk down some steep stairs to get to. There was also very limited seating. The majority of the seating was at ground level outside. But it was worth the trek because the matcha crossant roll was SO GOOD. It was stuffed & had such a strong matcha flavour. The chocolate & pistachio flavours were both way too sweet. For $11 something a piece, I would only recommend the matcha roll.View more

Matcha crossaint roll is a must!!! Very strong matcha flavour without being too sweet or too bitter. Lots of cream & matched perfectly with the crunch of the croissant. Definitely will get one every time I visit!
The pistachio one was too sweet & thick. The chocolate one was just Nutella on the inside & thus too sweet. For $11 each, it is a good treat since they are quite big.View more

Hidden below the market, this place seems like a hole in the wall kinda hidden gem Tried the croissant roll here & it was so good . The crust of the croissant is so nice & crispy but it can be abit jelat eating them all by yourself. Best to share it with people :)View more

We stopped in to order some pastries for dessert. The chocolatine/pain au chocolat was very good. The pistachio & strawberry matcha croissant(?) rolls were good too. They tasted great, but the bavarois/filling's consistency wasn't what I expected. Overall, a neat bakery in a nice setting.View more

Nous avions des attentes élevé pour cet endroit. Le service n'était pas présent, nous avons essayé le roll pistache (goûte beaucoup plus le chocolat blanc que la pistache), il était bon. On a aussi pris le croissant/biscuit, assez ordinaire. Prix ne vaut pas ce que c'est, 11$ plus tip chaque viennoiserie. La terrasse est jolie.View more

*edit: I have never met a more generous & kind staff in my life as the two boys that were on August 4th at the night shift, literally they deserve raises, & I have never regretted not leaving a higher tip. Literally I was about to come back like five times but I thought it would be weird 🤣God bless their hearts. Truly amazing people! *Tasty tasty tasty! The best croissant in Montreal. The "feuilletage" of the puff pastry is incredible, flaky & soft as I like. You can also try the ham & cheese croissant, almond croissant & the famous roll. Everything is amazing, made with quality ingredients. The shop is super duper cute too, located in a beautiful old building "Marché Bonsecours". You can stay on the terrace & enjoy the old port vibe. C'était dans mes plans de goûter le New York Roll à La Cave, & c'est enfin fait ! Par rapport a d'autres éxperience, c'est de loin le meilleur. Par contre si t'es au régime, je te le déconseil, c'est vraiment chargé à fond ! Le service est top, un gros big up à la gentille fille qui nous a servis. En plus, j'ai même eu droit à une super rencontre avec les oiseaux. Par contre, les prix sont un peu chauds : on a payé 50 pièces pour deux jus & deux rolls.View more
