Review Summary

La Cave à Manger is a highly regarded bakery in Old Montreal, frequently praised for its high-quality pastries, notably its signature filled croissant rolls, buttery croissants, and fresh bread. While many visitors consider it a hidden gem offering an authentic European experience with friendly service and an inviting atmosphere, some reviews note that the space is small, the prices can be high, and consistency in flavor or freshness varies. The bakery also offers savory options like sandwiches and pizza, alongside coffee and wine, with many guests recommending the outdoor seating area despite occasional issues with local wildlife.

Petite boulangerie.

Is great that they open early on weekends (7am), but there isn't much available yet. I went later on a weekday to try the famous pistacho croissant roll, is good, not too sweet & average size, but doesn't worth the 12 CAD

Très bon roll pistache ! Le prix semble assez élevé mais vaut vraiment le coup, on l'a mangé à 2 en 2 jours !!

The pistachio roll is to die for! I am usually not a sweet tooth. I also had the ube (purple potato) hot chocolate, it was pretty decent.

Tried the pistachio rounded croissant. Lovely crunchy laminated layers, with a nice pistachio cream filling. It tasted almost like green tea. I would come back to try other goodies.
