La Catrina ressort comme une adresse mexicaine vive et conviviale, avec des portions généreuses et des saveurs authentiques, le guacamole préparé à la table et les tacos variés étant particulièrement appréciés. L'ambiance, le décor coloré et la terrasse du Vieux Port contribuent à une expérience chaleureuse et festive qui donne envie de revenir en famille ou entre amis. Le service est généralement attentif et sympathique, et les margaritas ainsi que les plats frais sont souvent cités comme des points forts. Quelques observations sur le rythme du service lors des heures d'affluence existent, mais l'ensemble reste largement positif et favorable à une belle soirée.
-très bon churros frais, mais gâteau tres leches pas le même cas.
-l'absence d'une bonne salsa (une salsa en bouteille ne remplace pas une salsa pour un bon taco).
-La vente de tacos à l'unité serait une bonne idée, afin de pouvoir essayer différentes variétés de tacos.
I absolutely love this place! very charming & warm, & the food is so good & has unique flavours! I ordered the guacamole which they make in front of you, it tastes so refreshing. I also had the fried chicken tacos which was so juicy, fresh & tasty. I absolutely love how generous the chicken is. Big shout out to the chef.

J'ai suis allé manger vers midi car j'ai pensé que la nourriture était si bon que le soir. Quel déception, j'ai pris de tacos au boeuf (viande haché sans aucun saveur & avec beaucoup de piquant) ils ont décidé de le pas charger mais comme même je ne cherchais d'avoir des assiettes gratis, je voulais une belle expérience. En plus ce matin j'ai des problemas a cause du piquant.
Went as a group for Christmas event. Service was very slow for drinks all night, their cocktails looked really good though. Food was tasty, but portions were small. Like... really small. The group menu is fixed price, with one beer & tips: 73$. Guac to share first, one small shrimp tostada (great flavour) & two tacos. The beef quesadilla was even smaller. Not sure where the hype is.
I had the taco beef brisket & it was absolutely delicious!! It was a random stop, but totally worth it. The service & atmosphere was also good! You won't be disappointed. :)
Great place for tacos, with great food & really delicious cocktails. Guacamole made right infront of you fresh is by far the best way to start your dinner.

The food, atmosphere, & service at this restaurant are amazing!! Such a fun experience having the guacamole made to your liking at your table, & it turned out being some of the best guac I've ever had! The fried fish tacos, grilled shrimp tacos, & churros were both delicious as well! Highly recommend trying out this cute little place!
La Catrina restaurant in the Old Port is now one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal! The guacamole made directly at our table by our lovely waitress was the best I ever tasted & the fried chicken tacos were delicious. I'll be back soon for sure.
We made a same day reservation & got right in. It is located in the old port in a beautiful old building. The place is very small. When we came in, there was a table of probably 7 people being super loud & obnoxious. It’s not the restaurants fault, but that took away from the atmosphere.
I ordered a spicy mango “Catrina” margarita which was all spice & no alcohol.
My poblano soup, in addition to being beautiful to look at was creamy & delicious. My fish tacos were fresh & flavorful, but my plate was chipped. Not a big deal, but I wouldn’t serve food to a gust in a chipped plate.
Overall, it’s a good spot for a snack & a drink, before you head to dinner.
Visited the place with colleagues for dinner. The restaurant is located very close to Montreal Port area.
Staff is amazing & food is really delicious. The staff offer Guacamole with chips. It was too good. There is good vegetarian options available & I loved the tacos with cabbage. You can not miss Churros as it was too good.
Washrooms are located in the basement so not a good option for people with special need.

Servers were nice, we (5) ate outside & there were 2 ppl serving. Asked for the guacamole at the table came 45 min later no chips had to ask for the chips. Drinks were good. Ordered food but when we finished the guacamole they asked if we wanted dessert without having gotten our meal. 10 min later we were served. Nothing inspiring, ordered the brisket tacos & they lacked flavour. Had to ask for salsa. The fried chicken tacos was over done & that too lacked flavour. Not sure how they got 4+ stars for the price they charge. Good ambiance & drinks but that was it.
On êtes allez pour manger un repas qu'on avait déjà goûté à partager avec la viande tortillas légumes etc. La serveuse nous a informé qu'il ne font plus ça & elle ne connaît pas la raison. On a mangé les tacos qu'on n'a pas trouvé super & le pichet de mojito qu'était bon mais c'est cher. On retourne plus
