Food was just ok, tableside guacamole was not great nor were the chips. Music was way too loud, we couldn't have a conversation (it was only 5:30pm). Limited food & drink menu (basically only tacos). Would NOT recommend, many better options close by. Also very very OVERPRICED for what we ordered. If you're in the mood for Mecican food, Find another place!
I don't know what these recent reviews are talking about. The food here is pretty decent. & portions are good.
We eat a lot. We shared ceviche, guacamole, & each got tacos. It was too much food. We were full on just the ceviche & guac between the two of us.
The shrimp tacos were on the spicy side. The chicken tacos were pretty big.
The only thing I deducted a star for were the drinks. I understand small drinks but we were both literally done with our drinks in two sips. It was too small. For a $25 coco loco, I understand it is what it is but two sips? Not great.
Aside from that, good food, good vibes, we left full.
The pollo taco is one to try for sure - the watermelon topping was unique & refreshing. Biking made us thirsty for margaritas & they did not disappoint!
Service is really slow. Food's ok. The pork & chicken tacos were tasty. Table side guac is so-so. They leave out the ingredients on their trolley exposed in the heat. Tipping option was set for % option only when the server gave me the machine.
It can be hard to find excellent Mexican food, & Montreal wouldn't have been my first guess. Yet here it is, excellent dinner, great atmosphere & kind staff.
I ordered the quesabirria tacos which were fantastic. I didn't even use the dip the flavor was so good.
To drink I had the fun Coco Loco, a rum lovers delight. True the pineapple only was carved out 60% of the way down so the'glass' ended up a little shorter than I dreamed of, but it was fun & delicious.
The location is great right in old Montreal with all the hustle & bustle. A great spot to people watching the patio.
The margaritas were delicious. So delicious it deserved a second for each of us.
The guacamole was made fresh table side & it didn't disappoint. Delicious.
The tacos were also very delicious! We would definitely return the next time we're in the city.
We came on a Saturday night in the summer so reservations are definitely recommended.
