La Catrina ressort comme une adresse mexicaine vive et conviviale, avec des portions généreuses et des saveurs authentiques, le guacamole préparé à la table et les tacos variés étant particulièrement appréciés. Came for snacks & a cocktail. Cocktails were good! Recommend the mango marg, the monitor & mexican mule. Frozen margarita machine was broken. Food: Ceviche was old. Guac was not good & the best dish was the pico de gallo. Serving portion for the chips was also highly disappointing (very small). Would not come here to eat. Service: Sloooooooooow All our snacks came before our drinks.

Whether you're a fan of classic margaritas or enjoy trying something new, the cocktail menu here will not disappoint. The ambiance of the restaurant was vibrant & lively, making it a great spot for a fun night out with friends or a casual dinner date. The staff were friendly & attentive, adding to the overall excellent dining experience.

The food was amazing! However my friends & i waited a very long time to be served, meanwhile the man next to us was able to order two whole plates & finish them while we were waiting to order our main courses. Otherwise the food & the drinks were good!
Great Food & Fabulous Service by Yannick, Francesca, Lili & Clemence at La Catrina in Vieux Port Montreal. I wanted to extend my sincerest thanks to the entire staff at La Catrina located in the Vieux Port of Old Montreal. The food at La Catrina in Vieux Port Montreal was especially tasty & savory. The service at La Catrina in Vieux Port Montreal was excellent. I got together with a group of friends in Old Montreal to have dinner at La Catrina. I am happy to say that we had a phenomenal experience. We wanted to take advantage of the outside seating area on a beautiful night. Even though the restaurant was very crowded, the restaurant manager, Yannick, quickly pulled together four tables-minimizing wait-time. Francesca, the young lady who took our orders, was friendly & cordial. Francesca explained menu options, suggested dishes we might like to sample, made polite conversation with all of the guests & was very attentive to each person. She provided us with exceptional service over & above what normally might be expected-& more than what I have received at other restaurants of similar quality. Especially, in view of the late hour & the many other restaurant guests to which she had to tend. She even made the guacamole right at our table-personalizing the recipe according to our tastes. Francesca was fantastic. She understood we were hungry & handled our orders quickly. She remembered what each one of us ordered & placed the correct plate in front of each person quickly & seamlessly. Incredibly impressive in view of the number of tables she was handling that evening & the number of orders she must have taken. Both Yannick & Francesca were incredibly attentive to all of our requests & made it a point to pass by the table on three or four occasions to politely inquire whether everything was going well & whether we wanted additional food or drink. Additionally, I would be remiss if I did not mention Lili & Clemence, who also contributed to an overall great dining experience as a result of their tireless efforts. In short, Yannick, Francesca, Lili & Clemence provided great customer service in a courteous & professional manner. When friends, colleagues & others ask me for a recommendation for great Mexican food & excellent service, I will let them know that they must visit La Catrina.
service very bad, we received our appetizer after our main course, it took about 30 minutes before someone came to ask for a drink, another 20min to get our drinks & the drinks was all mixed up. our main plates was all mixed up & Not what we asked, they had to remake our meals...during the meal we ask other drinks that never arrived, very bad experience , very bad service, .....

The service was sooo good! James sat us during their close, set up our table, & even recommended us drinks which were amazing. Jesse was our server, he did not rush us even though the kitchen was closing, he checked up on us frequently! Amazing service, definitely coming again!
My wife & I are in town visiting from Oklahoma. I saw the drink pictures looked fabulous here on Maps, along with outdoor seating. We were going to the Museum & Notre Dame, so we decided to stop here & give it a try. It did not disappoint. My wife had the chicken tacos. These are fried, with a watermelon, tomato & onion chutney with a honey drizzle. Come on, man. Who would have put that together? Wow, scrumptious. I had the beef tacos. They come with fresh onion & a tomatio salsa. Tender & juicy My wife had the Margarita & I had a La Chita beer & a Coco Loco. Refreshing & delicious.
Beautiful drinks & amazing authentic Mexican food , service is a1 recommended girls night . If you go ask for sandy , Florence, lily, or Yannick you will not be disappointed they have amazing energy & give the best service in all of vieux mtl. The margaritas are a must 😍😈

Food was ok but overpriced , drinks were good, service was not great, they asked us to move downstairs so they could accommodate a large group, even if we had made arrangements beforehand, & downstairs was underwhelming & smelly.
Très bon restaurant ! Ambiance vraiment superbe ! Nous étions au Lounge (18+) en bas & nous avons aimé ! La décoration est superbe ! & la nourriture est très très bonne ! Par contre, un peu cher pour le peu de nourriture que nous avons eu. (100$ pour deux drinks, guacamole & 3 minis tacos chaques) dommage mais ça n'a pas pour autant gâché notre soirée !
We stumbled upon La Catrina when visiting Montreal 5 years ago & have been talking about it ever since. For our family trip this year, we booked a reservation to be sure we could get a table. The service was friendly & fantastic, & every single thing from the guacamole to the chips, drinks, & tacos were amazing. This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant I've been to anywhere & will make a point to visit every time I'm in Montreal.
Love this place! The servers are always so friendly & welcoming. Their suggestions for food or drinks have never disappointed us. The grilled octopus is amazing, highly recommend it.
