We arrived long before a fifa match started. There were at least 40% of the tables vacant. The hostess brought us to our seats. Despite our request when booking we were seated in the worst seats of the restaurant. I requested from a number of persons if we could change seats as on top of this all four people in front of us were wearing large sombrero style fashion hats. We were repeated refused despite the fact that better tables remained open for the entire time of the game. Do not count on any cooperation from the employees of this restaurant.

Worst experience at a La Cage ever. We made reservations over a week in advance to watch the world cup game, we put notes on the reservation saying it was for the game & they put us on the worst possible spot. We arrived early for the reservation, the restaurant is empty & they refused to change our table. Horrible customer service, zero care for our experience. Would give zero stars if I could.
Very bad service. Manager is rude. We reserved for a group to watch a World Cup game, arrived early while the restaurant was empty, & we were given a bad spot where we could barely watch the match. The manager simply gave attitude as opposed to solve the problem. Restaurant was empty & we could have easily been accomodated.

We had a terrible experience with both the staff & the hosts. Their attitude & customer service were extremely poor.
When we first arrived, the place was full. We asked for information, & they rudely told us there were no available tables, that reservations were not accepted, & that we should come back in a few hours.
A few hours later, we returned & noticed that many tables were empty. When we asked again, they told us we had to wait in line to be seated. After waiting, it was finally our turn, & they reluctantly asked if we had a reservation-even though they had previously told us that they did not take reservations.
When they finally seated us, they gave us the worst table in the restaurant, where we couldn't properly watch the game we had come to see. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived after us were given much better tables. When we politely asked if we could move, they claimed that all the other tables were reserved & that it wasn't possible, which was clearly not true.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. The staff was rude, unprofessional, & especially unfriendly toward tourists. We would not recommend this place.
Worts experience ever as customer, the hostess has a terrible attitude & the staff didn't support at all. We tried to get a table for the whole day & we ended up getting like a last minute table even though we try to make a reservation several times & the staff mentioned that they didn't have reservations. When we arriving the hostess mentioned that we would have to came back later since we didn't have reservations 2 hours later we try again & the hostess mentioned that we need to get in line; eventually when it was time to get our table the place was almost empty & we wanted to watch a match & the hostess mentioned that we couldn't get a table near the screens since we didn't have reservation (we attempt several times to make one) we ended up in a shitty table where we didn't get to watch the game properly. We thought the place would be full but it wasn't & after 40min we ask to switch table & we were denied. Note that the tables were eventually getting occupied by people that arrived after us & without reservation.
Good option if you have a larger group. The food was tastey & not overly salted. A bit surprised with the salad prices, but otherwise reasonable prices. Service was quick & friendly. I could see it getting busy on game nights.
I LOVE this place. Of course, it's the perfect spot to watch any sports game (hockey, baseball, soccer, etc...), but, really, this is my go-to venue for any occasion. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about it.
Atmosphere: I have been to many La Cage locations, but this one is truly the best. Nice layout, huge screens, & so many TVs all around that you always have a great view.
Food & drinks: So tasty. My favorites: chicken wings, burgers, pizzas, nachos, & the tuna tataki bowl, just to name a few. They also have a nice selection of beer-always fresh.
Staff: The best part & the main reason why I love this place. I have never had a negative experience with any of them. In fact, they make our time here so much better. Simon is the best; he makes sure we have an amazing time every single visit. & kudos to Vince, Sara, Margarita, Alex, & all the others whose names I can't remember (sorry!).
They also have nice specials almost every day, plus a great point system & perks on their app.
For those visiting Montreal, the location can't be better. Right at the festival site (Quartier des Spectacles) on Sainte-Catherine street.
Our server was constantly bothering not just our table, but everybody he was serving. I've NEVER seen nearly 10 tables leaving before the end of second period of game.
Probably one of the worst place to watch game.
Awesome atmosphere, big screens with constantly harassing waiters taking your unfinished food, even plates, utensil, water bottle, pushing you to order more & more. They don't want you to get comfy. They don't leave you alone.
I've never been to any restaurent & being asked if the food is finished this often in this short period of time.
We weren't there to vacuum out the entire plates in half an hour & leave. We were there to order foods to enjoy during the game.
They clearly mention our seat is reserved for the duration of game when you make a booking.
But the servers didn't make it feel like it at all.

We went on game night & ordered bunch of foods to eat throughout the game.
The server came & asked if the food is finished, probably 15 min after we received food, when we clearly had unfinished food on our plate.
Second time he came after another 15 min, he was so ready to take our plats, asking if the food is finished. We were NOT finished clearly.
He came back as we were already unpleasant, asking if we want dessert, while taking our utensils, plates, even popcorn basket. Mind you, the game was still on second period.
We did get dessert, but since they took all our plates, forks & knives, we only had one tiny spoon that came with dessert.
We asked for utensils, he gave us another tiny spoon. We gave up & decided to leave the place ASAP.
I asked for a check after the end of second period. The waiter started serving new seats that he managed to empty by harassing others for nearly 20 min. I asked for check again. He came & took our water bottle 😂 & brought check after another 10 min.
It was happening not only our table, or with my server, but the ENTIRE place was filled with servers trying to take unfinished food, being pushy.
