Mon dessert avait un arrière-goût de frigo. Le reste était correct sans plus, c'est très cher pour ce que c'est, mais maintenant tous les restaurants sont ainsi.

I visited La Cage last night because I was looking forward to watching the tennis match. The staff were super nice, & I really liked the ambiance & overall atmosphere.

However, I was honestly very surprised-& disappointed-by the fries that came with the burger. They were burnt, inconsistent, & clearly not fresh. This isn't the first time either. I visited La Cage many years ago, & I remember having the same issue with low-quality, overcooked fries.

Unfortunately, after the meal, I also had a stomachache for the entire night, which made the experience even more disappointing.

I understand investing in the décor & creating a nice atmosphere, but guys… it's fries! Even McDonald's knows how to make fries consistently fresh, crispy, & appealing.

La Cage has clearly invested a lot in the look & ambiance of the restaurant. I just wish the same attention was given to something as basic-& important-as the food on the plate.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tuna tataki & bang bang shrimp bowls!!
Decent ingredients.
The rice was nicely seasoned also.
Better than 1 of the Japanese places at Timeout market.

Decent selection of beers unsurprisingly, including 10 from Quebec.

This place is usually packed during the Jazz festival when we visit.
So we decided to give it a try.
I have some idea why now.
We'll be back next year!

Très bon emplacement dans le quartier des spectacles, faire attention au temps d'attente, car lorsqu'il y a des événements, cela peut être plus long a recevoir nos assiettes.
