Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The older waitress came across as passive-aggressive & made us feel unwelcome. She spoke only French & insisted on continuing in French, even after it was clear that some of us were more comfortable in English. We had to specifically ask for someone who spoke English before she finally called over a younger waitress.
The younger waitress was wonderful-friendly, patient, professional, & accommodating. She completely changed the atmosphere, & we truly appreciated her excellent service.
Another detail that stood out was that the older waitress immediately poured water without first asking whether we wanted water at all, or whether we preferred still or sparkling water, or another beverage. Good service starts by asking the guest what they would like to drink rather than making assumptions.
The food was okay-not terrible, but not particularly memorable either. This isn't a fine dining restaurant, so our expectations were simply to receive courteous & professional service. Unfortunately, that wasn't our initial experience. I hope management places more emphasis on customer service, because hospitality makes all the difference.
We have been to the area the last 2 years & this by far was the best dining experience we have had. Personally it may be the best I have ever had. The unique sign out front caught my eye, nice intimate seating inside. We speak very little French but the service was fantastic & accommodating. I had the French Onion soup to start & it was the best I've ever had, perfect starting portion. I also had a bite of my girlfriend's Caesar salad & the dressing & croutons were phenomenal. I had the Duck Confit as my main & was blown away. Every part of the dish came through beautifully. The portions will most certainly not leave you hungry. I highly recommend it.
Such a cozy environment & the service was spectacular. I had the French onion soup as an appetizer & the rack of lamb as a main; it was so good! I would definitely recommend this place! Linda, our server, was so nice!
Nice romantic restaurant with great service. I had the lamb shank. My wife had the steak. We both had the French onion soup. Portions were good. Food was very tasty. Wine selection is good but expensive. Food prices are a little high compared to other quality restaurants in the area.

Delicious French Restaurant In St Sauveur. Staff are incredibly knowledgable about the dishes & prices are affordable for the quality.

40 Years old French restaurant located on the main street. Very popular with locals, keeping the same menu for years. Cozy & charming. Wine is at SAQ+10$ priced. Food is simply delicious.
