Reviews describe La Beignerie as a standout all vegan donut shop in Montreal, known for big fresh donuts with inventive flavors like creme brulee, pistachio, passion fruit, apple fritter and biscoff, and for a cozy playful vibe with friendly staff, though seating inside is not available and payment is often cashless. Many say the donuts are delicious, with a soft texture and vibrant glazes, and praise the variety and freshness, while some flavors are noted as exceptional and others as overly sweet or a bit heavy and a few are not fully filled. Prices are described as high by some, though many feel the vegan offerings justify the cost. Several reviews raise sustainability concerns and suggest improvements such as more waste reduction, bringing own containers, and more recycling options, and a few mention flies around the donuts. Accessibility is noted as an issue with no ramp in some cases. Overall the place is viewed as a must try and a go to for vegan donuts, with many visitors returning on multiple trips for the flavors and the all vegan commitment.
Even though I was only in Montreal for a short stay, I still managed to visit this place every day I was there. Crème brûlée donut was to die for, pistachio ice cream was insanely good. Might need to make a specific stop in Montreal again just to come here.

I've had vegan donuts in several cities over North America. These are the BEST. Their ice cream is amazing too. La Beignerie is a must both if you're visiting on a trip, or are a Montrealer like myself.
Having strolled past La Beignerie a few times, we finally stopped in for a snack, hoping for a little treat. We arrived an hour & a half before closing but were disappointed to find only a couple of doughnut choices left. It's hard to say if that's a sign of high demand or just poor planning on their part, but either way, it severely limited our options. We opted for a doughnut served with a twist: cut in half, with ice cream in the middle, whipped cream on top, & Oreo sprinkles. It looked delicious & was perfectly portioned for sharing. The ice cream was nice, & the whipped cream with Oreo was, of course, a fun addition. However, the doughnut itself was a letdown. It was so tough that even with two forks, cutting through it was a struggle. The texture was unexpectedly chewy, making the experience less enjoyable. While the concept was fun & the toppings were good, the doughnut itself just didn't hold up. Sadly, I'd give this place a pass next time.
Yes this is a half eaten box of 4 donuts because my glutonous butt couldn't wait to eat those. They also offer ice cream & a handful of average drinks, but the real stars are the donuts. The dough was fluffy & the icing was not too sugary. Everything about them are just great & they're vegan too! No stress carnivorous, it still taste just as great as "normal" donuts. Very comparable to Krispy Kreme but without the problematic background. GET THE MATCHA DONUT! 23/07/2024 A 4 donut box costs 16$ & with tips & taxes came up to 21.16$

All vegan & delicious donuts & ice cream. The donuts are not gluten-free. It would be cool to have 1 gluten-free option. However, my boyfriend loved his coconut donut & said the flavor was outstanding & the texture was nice & light. I tried the ice cream, which was also very good & oat milk based. The staff was really nice & friendly. Overall, it was very nice!
This is heaven!!!! If I can give more stars I would ...... Simply the best, can't recommend just one doughnut have them all. Hands down the best doughnuts! They put all doughnuts places in North America in their back pocket. Vegan or not this is a must on your list to try. Can't wait for the summer to have milkshakes & ice cream.
The Bananiversaire may be the best ice cream my family's ever had. Made with real banana, it's not overly sweet, & the small chocolate chips are a perfect addition, we'll balanced with the banana flavor rather than competing with it.
This is the best place for vegan donuts. They have a wide variety of flavours. They now sell ice cream & milkshakes, which i’m very excited to try soon. I recommend this place to anyone who loves donuts, either vegan or not. You will not be disappointed :)
