La Beignerie is an all vegan donut shop we wanted to try in Montreal. It has a cute big sign in the front so it wads easy to spot.
Accessibility - My husband is the one that went inside, & I stayed outside with my niece. I was in my wheelchair & there were either 1 step from the street or a few steps leading to the shop. They had no ramp so I decided to stay outside. It was a nice day & there are benches right outside their shop on the pedestrian walk. They also have their own private space right outside their shop for their customers. That was also a step up from pedestrian walk leading to the shop.
Donuts - we loved them, we loved how they had different flavors to try like creme brulee, a few I dont remember the names but tasted so good. One was passion fruit, other one was keylime, lastly we got boston creme. All donuts we got tasted very rich. You really tasted the actual flavors of the fruits & didn't taste from concentrate.
Payment - my husband said they had a sign that they opnly take cards for electronic payment, no cash. He forgot to take a pic of the reason for no cash, but I think it;s safer if they dont have cash at hand. Unfortunately for older people like my Dad who prefers cash, maybe just ask their kids or grand kids to get them this treat.View more
I enjoyed my portion, but my wife found hazelnut flavor too strong to her taste & didn't finish it. Also it's a bit overpriced.View more
I don't know if the doughnuts I tried were old but I found them very dry & chewy. The flavors were very light. The carrot cake one was disappointing. No spice. The apple fritter was very stale & had no apple kick. The dominant flavor is sugar. I hate to say it, but I actually prefer Tim Hortons to this. Too expensive also.View more
Decent donut flavors. Chewy (reminds me of the fried bread sticks you get either Chinese rice porridge). Easy to taste the oil in the doughnutView more
You can actually have a quality donut here, I have not found yet a better maple donut out there. My girlfriend had a more fruiter flavor which was like sweet & sour. Overall, very good donuts! You will find one fit to your liking since they have a vast variety.View more
All vegan & delicious donuts & ice cream. The donuts are not gluten-free. It would be cool to have 1 gluten-free option. However, my boyfriend loved his coconut donut & said the flavor was outstanding & the texture was nice & light. I tried the ice cream, which was also very good & oat milk based. The staff was really nice & friendly. Overall, it was very nice!View more
Nice vegan doughnuts & good selection to choose from. Definitely would like to try all the flavors! 🍩🥰View more
Flavors pack a punch. Classic creme Brule, needs a little warming up, so either eat it freshly made, or warm it up at home. For there monthly flavors, alot of thought goes into it, & you can taste it. Base donut is heavy, so one will hit the spot. Coffee *Americano, was a surprise, really liked it.👍View more
matcha flavor not that strong hard to taste its match. more like cream bruleeView more
Good doughnuts, fun flavors. Apple fritter lacks real apple chunks & is a bit dry. But the rest live up to their visuals.View more
I love this place! It is hard to choose only one flavor. My favorite is the creme brûlée, just perfect!View more
The Bananiversaire may be the best ice cream my family's ever had. Made with real banana, it's not overly sweet, & the small chocolate chips are a perfect addition, we'll balanced with the banana flavor rather than competing with it.View more
