Afficher toutsushi(15) quality(6) roll(6) recommend(5) sashimi(4) fresh(3) dishes(3) maki(3)Got a takeout order & was honestly so disappointed. Every roll seemed like a variation of a California roll, the flavor profiles were off... Sashimi was partially cooked (didn't mention it on the menu)...The price for quality ratio was pretty poor but I would have been disappointed at a lower price point as well. The service & delivery was very nice.
I had a fantastic experience at Kiku Sushi! The atmosphere was cozy & welcoming, with a modern yet traditional aesthetic that made it perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. The staff were friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable, making great recommendations based on our preferences.
The sushi itself was incredibly fresh & beautifully presented. Every piece had a clean, delicate flavor that highlighted the quality of the ingredients. I especially enjoyed the rolls Kiku roll, california ,tempura roll,NDG roll & & their sushi sashimi was fresh, the kitchen dishes were just very good,it was perfectly balanced & absolutely delicious. The variety on the menu also impressed me, with both classic options & creative specialty rolls.
Kiku is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. If you're a sushi lover or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend giving this place a try!
I am someone who eats & prepares sushi often. I decided to try Kiku while taking a walk on Monkland as other restaurants are closed on a Monday. To my surprise the prices on the outside display did not match the prices on the menu. I did mention this to the waitress. I ordered the combo platter with sushi, sashimi & maki. Yes I asked not to have shrimp or tamago. Received 2 very basic rolls...4 hosomakis to my surprise. Sushi & sashimi was cut so thin & small. Only 4 varieties of fish for a 28 piece platter.
Great sushi. same team as the old Mikado. Loved it then. Love it now. Relax is my fav roll.
