My girlfriend & I had dinner here last weekend & it was without a doubt, one of the best meals that I've had in my entire life. We even made a reservation to come back the next night (our last in Montreal), but unfortunately had to cancel.
For a starter we had that house made pita & labneh. The labneh was perfect but the pita, was out of this world, it literally melted in my mouth. I told our waitress that it was the best bread that I've ever eaten & she told us that they have a special wood fired oven, that is just for the pita & that each pita is made to order.
We also had the chicken & salmon on a stick (kabob) & both were excellent. The salmon stood out to me as few places offer salmon kabob as it's easy to overcook, but ours was cooked to perfection.
The za'atar fries were also excellent.
Next time we come back to Monteal, Kif Kif is on the top of our list. We can't wait!
This is cozy dining place located near Westmount square. The service is good. Food was unexpectedly delicious. The plates were well prepared & presented & fresh. Chou salade was really tasty & crisp. The first pita with Labneh was a bit dry but still tasty; the second one was soft/literally fresh off the oven. The Beef skewers are so tender & juicy. Chicken schiztel was a big portion & very good. The baked rice did not taste much. Definitely coming back to try more.
Simply delicious! Dishes are outstanding. Perfectly balanced flavours. Muhammara is the tastiest I've ever had. Pita bread is freshly baked, warm & puffy.
The service is also outstanding. 5 stars. Solid
Belle découverte ! De bons plats à partager :de l'entrée avec des trempettes (humus / aubergine ) & le pain pita maison moelleux , aux brochettes de viande pour finir avec des desserts délicieux .
Visited with my wife this evening, food was amazing, the atmosphere was lively but even sitting in the midst of it, conversation was easy to hear across the table. Both mocktails & cocktails were tasty. The muhamarra was delicious, the pitas are made in house & come out fluffy & piping hot. The latkes hit it out of the park with the depth & complexity of the flavors. Dessert is also notable-thoroughly enjoyed the babka & almond cake.
Bella, our server, was so on top of everything & Kat, the hostess was lovely, accommodating, & shared the private room space with us.
We will definitely return & look forward to deciding what event we will celebrate in the beautiful private space, completely separate from the dining room, with private washrooms.
We ate last night April 10 for my mother's 91 st birthday we were 7 people. We chose the fixed menu which was easy but a big mistake. The first course was 2 salads which were ok then some beet dish which was awful almost un edible. Then the main course of Kebobs were unedible steak was tough as leather
The chicken was OK, but not great & the salmon was fishy & couldn't eat it. The chicken schnitzel, which usually was their best dish was greasy & thick & nobody ate it either in our party. We had dessert, but we were so disgusted with the terrible noise which out of 10 was a 15 nobody could hear each other so we got up & left without dessert which was included that's how bad this place was in the end it was a horrible experience for my mother. Nobody could talk or hear each other. The only thing I would say was good was the pita bread which was hot & fresh otherwise, the overall quality was very poor & the atmosphere was absolutely terrible because of the noise.
The starter were good with nice pita & muhammara. Everything else was incredible mediocre. The chicken schnitzel was WAY too thick. The drinks were decent. I wouldn't return too much other good food in MTL.
I had a great dinner at Kif Kif last night. The food was flavourful, fresh, & delicious. The service was excellent, & I enjoyed the space. We ordered a bunch of items, but the highlights were the hot, perfectly charred pita bread & the super creamy hummus. Falafel was crunchy, & tasty too. I'd like to go back & try more dishes. Thank you Kif Kif!
I'm leaving this review after my second time at Kif Kif & I promise I will be back. The food is exceptional. We were 4, ordered 8 dishes to split & a cocktail each. Everything was delicious! The hummus was creamy & perfectly seasoned, the muhammara (walnut pepper dip) naturally & wonderfully sweet, the falafel rich in flavour yet not too oily, the schnitzel perfectly cooked & just the right kind of crispy... The vibe of the restaurant is intimate & slightly chic without being overly over the top fancy. Just the right kind of place for a night out with friends, or a loved one. I'll definitely be back to re-order everything & try the rest of the menu.
Oh, & the pitas! O.M.G. Freshly baked in their stove oven, stretchy, aromatic, just incredible. Order an extra one, you won't regret it.
The food isn't cheap but it's worth it. You can taste quality in each & every dish. Also, you can find some parking on a street right behind the restaurant. I'm glad it's not in the Plateau - parking & accessibility is so much easier!
Absolutely lovely dinner! I came with my family & kids & we loved all the plates. The schnitzel is 10/10 along with the potatoes, pita & hummus. My kids loved the steak skewers. Will recommend & will be back! My friends went the same week after my recommendation & loved it too!
