Absolutely delicious! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the flavors were authentic, & every dish tasted homemade. Friendly service & a wonderful atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
Food & service was ok but paying our bill put a damper on the whole experience. You need to check your receipt & the tip calculation carefully at this restaurant. My friend & I spilt a $281 dollar dinner bill last week. When presented with the POS machine I selected 20% tip. My friend a similar value. Upon checking the receipts we both thought something didn't add up. It turned out we both we charged the our tip percentage on the total value of the bill (less taxes) not our split in half share. So my 20% tip on the $140 ($122.38 without taxes) should have been $24.48 but I was charged double that tip, $48.95 based on the full bill. Same thing for my friend. Not cool. When we brought this up to our waiter he fixed it but I can only imagine how many people don't check the calculations on their receipts from the POS machine. We got a sorry from our waiter. Check your bill here if paying & tipping with a card.
Workers there are pretentious. Unauthentic middle eastern food, tastes like someone trying to reproduce middle eastern food. I thought it was lebanese/syrian & later on learned that it was………………. Food is dry & tastes too basic. Also they put many different foods of different regions under the same etiquette which is « middle eastern », Overall it looks like they're trying to please a North American who's never tried middle eastern food, instead of doing real authentic food. I read that the Chef is Iranian, which is already a good starter but maybe another chef from another middle eastern country would be a great addition to the team. Portions are also too small. Overall i wouldn't recommend but if you're interested, maybe it is worth a shot. Too expensive for what it is though……
Such an awesome place, starting from the hostess, amazing vibe, the staff are very friendly & efficient, Pierre the manager is legit a nice person, the food: just let the servers give you recommendations, everything is delicious, I had a really great experience, will be back for sure 😊🤙🏼
A bit of a find, worth the trip to Westmount. Excellent menu & cocktail/wine list. Some real treats here. Service was friendly & the atmosphere comfortable.
I passed by this place twice today, i peaked in everyone was dressed causual & i was wearing a pair of shorts & a megadeth tshirt. So i walked in & said im not underdressed am i & the guy said nope i love megadeth lol. So we sat down & waiter took our order & said that he loved megadeth too. & i said to my son, im starting to like this place lol. The bartender brought me my drink & i kid you not, said nice shirt lol.
Anyways.. ill be honest i walked in & besides the steak skewers i had no clue what anything was at all. So i took a chance on the steak skewers & beef & lamb kefta. So the food came & i took a bite of the beef lamb sausage... perfect amount of spice & flavor & then i took a bite with the garnish which was packed with flavor. Then took a bite with the sauce. Excellent. Every bite was perfect. Same with the steak skewers meat was soft perfectly cooked & seasoned. The plates are small but are perfect.
My son had the large plate braised lamb. Again another flavorfull dish. Perfect size.
For dessert we had the chocolate bread [dont remember the name of it]. Soft nice chew lots of flavor & not too sweet.
Meal was excellent, service was great & everyone working was right on.
My girlfriend & I had dinner here last weekend & it was without a doubt, one of the best meals that I've had in my entire life. We even made a reservation to come back the next night (our last in Montreal), but unfortunately had to cancel.
For a starter we had that house made pita & labneh. The labneh was perfect but the pita, was out of this world, it literally melted in my mouth. I told our waitress that it was the best bread that I've ever eaten & she told us that they have a special wood fired oven, that is just for the pita & that each pita is made to order.
We also had the chicken & salmon on a stick (kabob) & both were excellent. The salmon stood out to me as few places offer salmon kabob as it's easy to overcook, but ours was cooked to perfection.
The za'atar fries were also excellent.
Next time we come back to Monteal, Kif Kif is on the top of our list. We can't wait!
I would have liked to give Kif Kif 5 stars because the food was amazing. The service was excellent & a'quiet' table was provided as requested in the reservation. However, half an hour into our meal, by 7 pm, the noise level became absolutely unbearable. The loud music was lowered as requested but unfortunately it made no difference.
Dining out is a special occasion among friends having a relaxed conversation, enjoying good food, & not about screaming & struggling to hear conversation.
I would love to return because the food was exceptional. We may try it once more at lunchtime to see if the noise level would be more tolerable.
One more chance.
