Review Summary

Across many reviews, Kif Kif is described as a stylish, welcoming spot with a warm, energetic atmosphere and a Mediterranean inspired menu. The food is frequently praised for freshness and depth of flavor, with the hummus, pita, and a variety of dips and kebabs repeatedly highlighted as standout items. The kitchen s playful, culturally rich influences are noted as thoughtful and well executed, and desserts such as babka are often mentioned as memorable finales. Drinks, including cocktails and wines, receive positive mentions for pairing well with the dishes. Service is commonly described as attentive and friendly, with staff going the extra mile, though some experiences note pacing issues, occasional rushing of courses, or noise in a bustling room. Portions are described as generous in some reviews and smaller relative to price in others, leading to recommendations to share several dishes. A few dishes do not land perfectly, such as a bland schnitzel or a lack of seasoning in some mains, but these are outweighed by many glowing assessments. Overall, Kif Kif is regarded as a strong addition to the neighborhood, with guests planning to return to explore more of the menu and the vibrant ambiance.

I had an amazing experience at KifKif. The service was very good, with all the staff attentive & making sure we enjoyed the experience. The place itself is beautiful, a nice atmosphere with cool Israeli pictures. The food itself was delicious, amazing hummus, fluffy warm pita & the salmon skewer was delicious! The only thing is the portions are pretty small for the price, so you need a lot of dishes. The halloumi also was a little rubbery.
I would definitely go back for a special occasion!

Good experience at Kifkif, could have been great.
The schnitzel, the grilled zucchinis, hummus & eggplant dips were really good. The salmon crudo was also super fresh & tasty.
We did feel like the service felt rushy sometimes. Taking out the plate right after we finished the last bite is not very pleasant. Why the rush, I would have loved to get another spoon of the green sauce!

The desserts were a miss because we did not have the full description : the chocolate terrine was actually chocolate & olive oil (bold combination but unfortunately not to our taste), the almond cake was actually almond & labneh (again not really to our taste).

The babka however was a great way to finish the night.

The ambiance was delightfully relaxed with soft lighting & background music. We were greeted enthusiastically, & our coats were checked efficiently. Every dish we picked was exquisite - hard to pick a favourite.
The braised lamb, salmon skewers, & Moroccan cigars were favourites. The serving staff were friendly & efficient. Highly recommended! We will certainly be
back!

I was heavily anticipating a delicious meal & our entire party was not even close to being disappointed. In fact, Kif Kif was able to take us on a Mediterranean journey unique unto its own. From the moment we walked in & were greeted by Nadine (hostess) & Dan himself (chef who happened to be up front at the time) to the extremely courteous service of our sever Abby, the hospitality was perfect. Of course, the true highlight was the series of dishes we were treated to. The dips are a must (all three). Hummous was creamy & authentic, the Muhammara was a table favorite & the carried eggplant was out of this world. But what really tied it all together was the pastry like Pita bread that came out of an authentic Italian oven, piping hot & fresh & would literally melt in your mouth.
We then moved on to other divine sharing dishes like the ever so tender flank steak skewers, the signature chicken schnitzel & the raw salmon which makes any other ceviche look mundane & plain. The meal was also complemented with crunchy slaw, smashed potoes & a fantastic zucchini labneh side that popped.
Mission accomplished...everyone was stuffed, but you know what they say:'Everyone has room for dessert'. So we indulged & we went with Dan's suggestions. The table shared the chocolate Terrie with Halva, a milk pudding drizzled with the perfect amount of rose water, & a chocolate Babke which was the star of the show.
We rolled out of Kif Kif extremely satisfied needless to say & with the wine (& a cocktail) the bill seemed fair. Thank you again to Dan & his team. If you have not yet experienced this local wonder, you should make your rezzie now. We will be back 10000%.

Our family had the absolute pleasure of dining at Kif Kif during our visit to Montreal, & it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We discovered the restaurant online the day before & decided to stop by in person to check availability. Not only were we warmly greeted, but we had the chance to meet the manager, Pierre, who made us feel instantly welcome. When we returned for dinner tonight, he greeted us with the same kindness, setting a wonderful tone for the evening.
The moment we walked in, the restaurant looked absolutely stunning - beautifully prepared & ready for guests. Within minutes of opening, the space filled up, a clear sign that this place is well-loved. We were taken care of by Avalon, an incredibly lovely, kind, & attentive host who made us feel at home from start to finish.
We ordered a selection of dishes to share: hummus, Moroccan cigars, green salad, & three types of skewers - chicken, salmon, & beef. Truly, every single dish was exceptional. Each plate was thoughtfully prepared, rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, & beautifully presented. You can feel the care & passion in every bite.
Kif Kif is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. The warm hospitality, stunning atmosphere, & delicious food all came together to create an unforgettable experience. We'll absolutely be returning on our next trip to Montreal.
Thank you, Kif Kif team, for such a wonderful evening, & wishing you all the very best!

Things were done right at Kif Kif, & hopefully they'll keep these high standards for a long time. We ordered the moist & tender Spotty Pitas, Hummus, Muhammara, & Raw Salmon to start, followed by the whole Sea Bream & Tahdig as mains.
We loved the depth of tangy, smoky flavors that really define this chef's cooking, especially noticeable in the Muhammara, the fish sauce, & the Tahdig. The dish that truly stood out was the Raw Salmon: sashimi-style slices of fresh salmon prepared in a ceviche-like way. Outstanding!
For dessert, we had the Babka. It wasn't the traditional moist style we expected, but this version was still enjoyable.
The restaurant's design is also very interesting, filled with small framed photographs that tell a story. Service was professional & friendly.
All in all, a great accomplishment for a restaurant that opened only recently.

Beautifully designed restaurant. Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Many guests beside us had to wait a while to be seated as well.
The acoustics are not so good & it's hard to have a conversation across the table.
The food was ok. Not great. Not worth the price asked in my opinion.
The hummus & eggplant salad were good, the pitas were great (but an extra pita costs 5$!). The salmon squere & the cigars were tasty. The beef squere was loaded with so many spices you could not taste the meat. The schnitzel reminded me of McDonald's (perhaps they use a similar oil? I don't know), anyway we ate only half of it.
Malabi dessert was good.
Not sure we'll be back.
