Attentive staff in an attractive & comfortable atmosphere. The food was great , with the best hummus, bread & falafel I've had anywhere . I was with a group of 4 friends & since the plates are sharing plates , we had to order more than one of each of course . If you have a big appetite, you may leave hungry if you don't order quite a few plates for each person. The only bone I have to pick so to speak is that my friend who made the reservation did not say she was told there was a 90 minute dinner time limit ..
We were told the next reservation had arrived around the 85 minute mark & did not have time to order dessert or coffee . Maybe if someone would have mentioned this at the outset we would not have been disappointed to leave , in addition since we had someone visiting from Vancouver .
I was heavily anticipating a delicious meal & our entire party was not even close to being disappointed. In fact, Kif Kif was able to take us on a Mediterranean journey unique unto its own. From the moment we walked in & were greeted by Nadine (hostess) & Dan himself (chef who happened to be up front at the time) to the extremely courteous service of our sever Abby, the hospitality was perfect. Of course, the true highlight was the series of dishes we were treated to. The dips are a must (all three). Hummous was creamy & authentic, the Muhammara was a table favorite & the carried eggplant was out of this world. But what really tied it all together was the pastry like Pita bread that came out of an authentic Italian oven, piping hot & fresh & would literally melt in your mouth.
We then moved on to other divine sharing dishes like the ever so tender flank steak skewers, the signature chicken schnitzel & the raw salmon which makes any other ceviche look mundane & plain. The meal was also complemented with crunchy slaw, smashed potoes & a fantastic zucchini labneh side that popped.
Mission accomplished...everyone was stuffed, but you know what they say:'Everyone has room for dessert'. So we indulged & we went with Dan's suggestions. The table shared the chocolate Terrie with Halva, a milk pudding drizzled with the perfect amount of rose water, & a chocolate Babke which was the star of the show.
We rolled out of Kif Kif extremely satisfied needless to say & with the wine (& a cocktail) the bill seemed fair. Thank you again to Dan & his team. If you have not yet experienced this local wonder, you should make your rezzie now. We will be back 10000%.
The restaurant had a pleasant ambiance that made for a nice dining experience. The appetizers were delightful, bursting with flavor. However, the main courses were a bit disappointing; the chicken schnitzel was bland, & the rice lacked seasoning. On the plus side, the beef was perfectly tender, which was a highlight of the meal. It's worth mentioning that the pita bread was fresh, but be prepared to pay $5 for each pita
