Our recent visit to The Keg in Montreal was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding-the staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. The highlight, of course, was the food. We ordered the prime rib & the filet mignon, & both were sensational. The prime rib was a masterpiece of savory flavor, cooked just right & so tender. The filet mignon was equally impressive, perfectly seasoned, & incredibly juicy. If you're looking for a great steak & a welcoming atmosphere, lunch or dinner this is the place to go.View more

My filet mignon 7 Oz was very good & medium rare just right. The veggies did not seem as exciting as the monte Carlo potato. Did not venture to seafood but steak & meat were very good. Prime rib did not & was cold. & the salad appetizer called a wedge was drenched in ranch dressing. But presentation & bacon bits were good.View more

Meghan won our hearts tonight. I know this is a slightly longer review, but you will not regret reading it.
We order two glasses of wine. A lady serves my wife just a sip for tasting. My wife doesn't like the wine. The lady opens another bottle - no questions asked. Mind you we're not ordering a bottle, just two glasses.
Then the lady asks if we're celebrating anything. Yes, we are. It is our very first dinner after moving to Montreal all the way from ?stanbul, Turkey. We tell her the kids are nervous. She takes the time to console them.
I ask her if it would be all right to mention her name specifically in a Google Maps review. She says'I'm Meghan, THE general manager'. She touches our hearts with her humbleness.
It is not yet over: Her team prepares us a surprise dessert at the end of our wonderful dinner. (Did I mention the food was heavenly?)

Absolute Empfehlung! Wir kamen ohne Reservierung gg. 17 Uhr im ylokal an, na kurzer Wartezeit haben wir einen schönen Tisch im Außenbeleuchtung bekommen. Unser Bedienung Jennifer hat uns Wasser gebracht und uns Empfehlungen ausgesprochen. Nach unserer Bestellung erhielten wir frisches Brot mit einem Dip. Die Steaks waren super und die Steaksandwiches ebenfalls sehr lecker. Der Rosenkohl als Beilage war super. Am Schluß erhielten wir noch einen Nachtisch auf Kosten des Hauses, da einer aus unserer Gruppe Geburtstag hatte. Ein schöner Abend!View more

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Keg. The prime rib was recommended by the wait staff & it didn't disappoint. It did take our table of four nearly 4 hours from sitting to paying. The wait team took extremely long periods of time between checking on our table of four. The weather was amazing (July) & the outdoor seating made the wait more tolerable.
