My friend & I booked a table at Kaza Maza weeks in advance & were very excited to visit. Because my friend has a tree nut allergy, we explicitly informed the staff upon ordering & asked them to check our dishes. We were confidently assured the food was completely nut-free & that extra care would be taken.
However, this was not the case. My friend always tests her food first, & after a single bite, she suffered an allergic reaction. When we alerted the staff to this issue, their response was shocking. Instead of checking if she was okay, they immediately became defensive & accusatory, asking'Why do you not want to pay?'.
We were insulted, accused of lying, & confronted by a staff member who aggressively argued it wasn't their fault. We ultimately had to pay the bill in full for food we could not & did not eat, just so we could leave. I am shocked by such poor & defensive service. To be made to feel at fault after such a frightening & vulnerable event is completely unacceptable. To prioritize a bill over a customer's life & deny a mistake when there was an active allergic reaction is appalling & dangerous. If you have food allergies, please avoid this establishment for your own safety.
Flavourful middle eastern dishes at good value. This spot is a must try!
It's been a long time since I have had excellent Lebanese food that exceeded my expectations.
KazaMaza came highly recommended, & as such my expectations were high.
KazaMaza delivered on everything. Cozy restaurant that comes with the friendliest service, & high quality tasty dishes.
The kefta karaz was excellent, so were the mawzat friki, samakeh harra & kibbi neye.
Hoping to return again & again.
Cool place with delicious food, yummy flavors, good service & friendly staff. I came here last weekend with my girlfriend because we were craving some Middle Eastern food & we were so satisfied by the food we had over a year. We had some kebabs & some rice based dishes & a free dessert because the owner was so nice!
The food was fantastic - I had the hummus & the kefta méchoui & both were indescribably delicious. However, as a frequent solo diner, I have never been to a restaurant that has treated me as poorly as this. My waiter asked me if'no one else wanted to dine with me this evening' & told me that the food I ordered (two dishes) would be'far too much for someone like me.' I was ignored the entirety of my time here & had to get up to ask someone to bring me my addition. Keep this in mind if you are dining solo.
Food here was absolutely incredible. The muhamarra & the lamb dishes were a highlight.
Nice restaurant with a lovely variety of choices. The main dishes were great, with delicious lamb & flavourful sauces ( mawzats & keftas ). We appreciated the cocktail list as well as the choices offered with Arak liquor. Our server was helpful & patient. Nice interior. We wished our pita came hot & fresh with the different dips offered as appetizers. Balaklava was however on the dryer & colder side.
Kaza Maza is one of those rare restaurants that manages to feel both welcoming & exciting the moment you step inside. Located right on Parc Avenue, it offers a warm, inviting space that immediately sets the stage for a memorable meal. The atmosphere is relaxed & friendly, making it an ideal place to gather with friends or family, & the cozy little terrace is a real bonus when the weather is nice.
The food is the star here. Kaza Maza serves a wonderful variety of Middle Eastern dishes that are clearly prepared with care & fresh ingredients. The menu is built for sharing, which is perfect if you love sampling a bit of everything. From vibrant mezze plates to richly spiced mains, every dish bursts with authentic flavor & thoughtful seasoning. It's the kind of food that encourages conversation as you pass plates around the table, making it as social as it is delicious.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality & variety you get, & the service strikes just the right balance-attentive without ever being pushy. Whether you're already a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or simply curious to try something new, Kaza Maza is a must-visit. It's the kind of restaurant you'll want to return to again & again.
