Reviews for Kazamaza
Reviews often mention
middle eastern(58) recommend(56) lebanese(52) prix(36) lamb(33) dishes(29) cozy(29) hummus(27) qualite(26) authentic(26) highly recommend(25) tasty(24)Let's start by stating this: it's the best middle Eastern food in Montreal. Starting with authenticity: no compromise there, you get what you would get in Syria/Lebanon. The best example would be the cherry kafta: the cherry sauce you feel it is straight out of Aleppo. As for Quality of the ingredients: no compromise there as well, even in items such as "makanek" where some restaurants allow themselves to use less than perfect meats, not at kazamaza. Finally the service: owner & staff work really hard to make you feel welcome.
This is definitely one of the better restaurants I've been to. It is a bit outside of downtown Montreal, but you can walk it in about 35 minutes, or take a taxi or bus. For appetizers, try the fattouch salad (excellent), & for cold dishes, we had the muttabal & mousaqa'a, which they bring you plenty of pita bread for, & both were extraordinary. Then, definitely give the giant shrimp with saffron tomato white wine sauce, perfectly cooked giant shrimp in a great sauce. Great atmosphere, very well priced for Montreal, & as good as or better than anything else you'll find in the city.

Food was great! We felt rushed to leave. They kept picking up the plates & we weren't even done. reservation is booked for 2 hours after 90 minutes they wanted us out.

-Ambiance agréable
-Nourriture excellente
-Quantité excellente
-Bon service
Merci!
I love KazaMaza! I come here each time I'm in Montreal & the food is incredible. I came alone this time (work trip) but was seated & treated nicely. I always get the fattoush salad (which even tastes good in the winter despite tomato's being out of season), the babagonoush (sometimes I get hummus) & the the kefta mechoui which is served with rice & is incredible! The service here has never been over the top impressive but it's certainly not bad. They aren't pushy & serve you what you want in a reasonable time frame. I would always recommend coming here!
Very homey & warm ambiance, nice staff, family-friendly as well. The food here is very good & filling & is appropriately priced (which is pretty rare nowadays)!!! I enjoyed everything I ate, there's nothing bad to say, I would definitely come back again & would recommend it to everybody.

A very nice, quaint Lebanese/Middle-eastern restaurant with authentic food & flavor. Food is halal. They also have a bar & serve alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages as well. Very cozy indoor seating.

Merci encore ! C'était très bon nous reviendrons.
