Nous étions un groupe de + 20personnes, donc quand même nombreux, & avions un menu de groupe fixe. Pour commencer par le positif: l'ambiance est bonne, la musique aussi. Le moins positif: la nourriture est un 3/5, tres moyenne. La cote de boeuf etait ok sans plus. Les cocktails n'etaient vraiment pas fameux. Le negatif: le service. Un mauvais service de par sa lenteur & par l'absence de communication evidente entre les employés. Temps de service super long, consignes de cuisson des plats non respectées, erreurs sur les factures car les employés ne se parlent pas, & pour finir la serveuse justifie le pourboire demandé de 18% par le fait qu'elle a'fait son travail', sans considération du fait qu'un bon service n'est pas un travail individuel mais un travail d'equipe. Bref si vous aimez plus un restaurant pour l'ambiance que l'esthétique le Kava peut etre une option, sinon passez votre chemin.

I had a reservation on June 17 at 7:00pm. Me & my party of 4 had the woman who was white & blonde as server. The food was okay & service was pretty slow considering the fact that there was only less than 10 other people dining in. When it came time to pay I hesitated since I really did not enjoy my experience there & the server was quick to jump at me saying that tip isn't included & 15% isn't enough & that 18% is usually what people go for. That being said I then proceeded to tip 15% under the pressure of my server. After I had already paid, she proceeded to start going back & forth with me & started talking about how she has to pay 8% of every bill when she works & asked me, & i quote,'have you ever been a server before?' I replied yes because I actually have. She then adds something between the lines of'oh you were a server? how did you feel when customers walked out & didn't tip?' I said how it's normal A LOT of people actually do it & it doesn't bother me because at the end of the day it's my JOB to SERVE. She adds on again saying'oh you were working at 12$/hr? well when I go out I always tip 25%.' I find this very rude considering I had already paid & tipped & she continued to argue with me. Tips are based on service & your experience, mine wasn't good so I wanted to reflect that on my bill. It took her 15 minutes after giving our initial round of drinks to come & take our order of food. Very unpleasant experience.

I had the worst experience there on my birthday at kava .

First, the service was extremely slow. Second, they had to change our order because the dish we originally wanted was no longer available wich is totally fine but The replacement dish was less expensive, yet we were still charged for the original, more expensive item.

Third, there were very drunk customers who kept bothering us. To make matters worse, one of them ended up breaking a beer glass on our table, & there was glass & alcohol on my friend's lap. The staff did not do much to address the situation or accommodate us after this complete mess it's completely terrible.

This is the first time I've ever written a review because the experience was truly that bad. I would not recommend this place at all .

UPDATE: They never got back to me!
I went here for New Year's with three girlfriends. We had a reservation for four that was booked in advance. Thirty minutes before our reservation, we received a call saying that we could only do bottle service. For four girls, this is unreasonable, especially when the reservation was already confirmed.
On the phone, I clearly explained that there were four of us & that we would not be able to finish a full bottle. I asked whether we could instead order individual drinks. We were told,'Come in & we'll talk & find a solution.'
When we arrived at 11:45 PM, a manager was called over & immediately told us that our only option was bottle service or nothing at all - meaning they would not host us otherwise. This directly contradicted what we were told on the phone.
We reluctantly agreed to bottle service, assuming we would at least receive proper seating (a table or bar seating, as expected anywhere else). The restaurant was completely jam-packed, yet instead of accommodating us properly, they squeezed a tiny, short table into a corner with zero seating, expecting us to stand around it. It was not even a bar-height table.
The behavior felt extremely money-driven. They took our payment opportunity but provided no real service or space.
The waitress brought the bottle immediately & came back with the bill right away. There was virtually no service afterward. Despite this, she insisted that we had to tip 15% because it was New Year's. I would genuinely like to know where this rule is written, because mandatory tipping without service is unacceptable.
When we asked for water, she brought two Red Bulls & two club sodas. Once those were finished, we asked for more drinks & water. She said'okay' & never returned.
Overall, this was a terrible experience. Poor communication, misleading promises, overcrowding, pressure tactics, & lack of service. We will absolutely never return.
I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision before choosing this place. This felt like a cash grab, not hospitality.

J'ai visité ce restaurant pendant le week-end du Grand Prix avec une amie, & malheureusement, l'expérience a été décevante. La serveuse a mal expliqué le menu de l'événement, nous laissant penser qu'on pouvait ajuster les plats selon ceux qu'on voulait c'est à dire ne pas payer le menue F1 mais payer les plats qu'on allait prendre du menue, mais à la fin, on a été facturée pour le menu complet alors qu'on avait pas tout pris. En plus, elle a inclus elle-même le pourboire dans la facture, m'obligeant à donner 20 % de tips, ce qui n'est pas acceptable, car je voulais choisir le montant moi-même & j'aurais mis 15% pour le service reçu. Je ne vous recommande pas ce restaurant, & je ne voudrais pas y revenir non plus.

Nous sommes venus en groupe & nous avons vraiment adoré l'ambiance du restaurant. La nourriture était excellente, très bonne du début à la fin. Ce qui a rendu notre expérience encore plus agréable, c'est surtout le service impeccable.

Un grand merci à Oneyssa qui nous a servis avec un grand sourire tout au long de la soirée. Elle était attentionnée, professionnelle, rapide & très agréable. Son excellent service a vraiment fait une différence & a rendu notre expérience encore meilleure. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

I honestly rarely leave bad reviews & I wish I could put 0 stars but my experience at Kava was terrible from start to finish. We went there for my friend's birthday expecting a nice dinner, especially considering how expensive the menu is, & it ended up being one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had.

I ordered the lamb shank plate, which was almost $100 for only three small pieces, & after waiting OVER AN HOUR for our food, it arrived cold. Not only was the food overpriced, but it was also extremely underwhelming & honestly very mid for the price point.

What completely ruined the night for me though was finding a piece of glass in my mouth while finishing my meal.. YES A PIECE OF GLASS!!! That is completely unacceptable & genuinely dangerous. I informed the waitress, who apologized & offered me a dessert as compensation, but the dessert never even came!!

For the prices they charge, I expected quality food, proper service, & at the very least basic safety standards. Instead, we got cold food, long wait times, poor follow-through, & a dangerous situation that could have ended much worse.

Safe to say I will never be returning.

I just had my 25th birthday with my friends & the food is fantastic & the vibe is amazing but even though the waitress was very nice I believe she was understaffed because it didn't make sense that they forgot to make my appetizer as well as my girlfriends, then they forgot the main dish of my friend who she just ordered the pasta & they forgot her wine. Vibe is great & food is great but they either need to get organized or hire another waiter to help them & this place would be 5 stars.
