Really enjoyed our night at Kava! The food was great, the vibe was super nice, & our waitress Krysten was amazing. She was so sweet & attentive, & the whole staff was really nice. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to! 😊
Très déçue de notre soirée chez Kava. On était là pour célébrer l'anniversaire d'une amie & malheureusement, l'expérience n'a vraiment pas été à la hauteur. Plusieurs problèmes durant la soirée & très peu de considération de la part du restaurant pour essayer d'arranger la situation. On est reparties frustrées alors qu'on était venues passer un bon moment.
Le seul bon point : le DJ, qui a vraiment mis de bons sons afro & une bonne ambiance ! Pour le reste, vraiment dommage.
Honnêtement, c'est l'une des pires expériences que j'ai eues dans un restaurant.
Nous étions un groupe d'environ 13 personnes & nous avons attendu entre 1 h 30 & 2 h avant de recevoir nos commandes. Le plus décevant, c'est que personne n'est venu nous donner d'explications ou simplement s'excuser pour l'attente. À chaque fois, nous devions nous-mêmes aller chercher les serveurs pour savoir ce qui se passait.
Pendant toute cette attente, rien n'a été fait pour essayer de rendre l'expérience un peu plus agréable : aucune excuse, aucune attention, même pas quelque chose à grignoter en attendant.
& comme si ce n'était pas suffisant, deux personnes de notre groupe ont finalement dû annuler leur commande, car lorsqu'elle est arrivée, ce n'était pas ce qu'elles avaient commandé. Il aurait donc fallu attendre encore une fois pour avoir les bons plats.
Ce qui m'a vraiment déçue, c'est qu'après tout cela, aucun effort n'a été fait pour se rattraper ou pour montrer qu'ils étaient désolés de la situation.
Bref, une expérience très décevante. Pour ma part, je n'y retournerai pas. J'espère sincèrement que le restaurant prendra ces commentaires en considération & améliorera son service, notamment au niveau de l'organisation, de la communication avec les clients & du service des serveurs.
Unfortunately, the experience felt very disorganized from start to finish. The menu appeared to have changed significantly, & what was actually available did not match either the online menu or even the physical menu we were given. Several of the drinks & food items we had specifically come for were unavailable, including the filet mignon, & there was no bread available to pair with the burrata apart from naan, which does not pair at all.
What was especially frustrating was that no waiter informed us of these significant menu changes or unavailable items before we began ordering. Had we known beforehand, we likely would not have stayed. Instead, we had already gone through the trouble & expense of using the valet & purchasing drinks before realizing that much of what had brought us to the restaurant was not actually available.
The staff seemed stressed & somewhat awkward throughout the evening, which only added to the overall sense of disorganization. The atmosphere was also different from what we expected. The restaurant presents itself as an upscale dining establishment, yet many guests were dressed extremely casually, making the overall experience feel inconsistent with the image being presented.
Overall, it felt like an establishment that had not quite figured out what it wanted to be. Between the inaccurate menus, unavailable items, lack of communication from the staff, uncomfortable service, & mismatched atmosphere, the experience came across as a disorganized mess rather than the polished upscale dining experience we had expected.

Notre gâteau, confié au personnel, a été mal conservé & nous l'avons récupéré complètement fondu. Ensuite, plus d'une heure d'attente pour pouvoir payer à cause de leur système défaillant, au point de devoir annuler nos plans après le restaurant & gérer le problème du stationnement. Des frais de service obligatoires nous ont également été imposés malgré tous ces désagréments.

Très mauvaise expérience chez Kava pour mon anniversaire. C'est la première fois que je prends le temps d'écrire un commentaire négatif, mais malheureusement, cette expérience le mérite. Soirée gâchée !
Nous avions confié mon gâteau d'anniversaire au personnel, mais il n'a pas été conservé correctement au froid & nous l'avons récupéré complètement fondu.
Le pire a été au moment de payer : plus d'une heure d'attente parce que leur système de paiement ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons dû annuler nos plans prévus après le restaurant &, puisque le stationnement extérieur fermait à minuit, l'une d'entre nous a même dû partir récupérer la voiture pendant qu'une autre restait sur place pour payer sa part.
Malgré tous ces désagréments, aucune compensation ni véritable considération pour la situation. Pire encore, des frais de service obligatoires nous ont été imposés, sans possibilité de les retirer, malgré l'expérience que nous venions de subir.
La nourriture est également très chère pour les petites portions servies, mais c'est presque secondaire comparé au reste.
Pour une soirée qui devait être spéciale, l'expérience a été extrêmement décevante. Gâteau fondu, plus d'une heure pour payer, plans annulés, stress avec le stationnement & frais de service imposés : je ne recommande pas Kava.
So incredibly overhyped, & unfortunately, the service no longer seems to reflect the price point.
I visited for a small dinner recently, & I couldn't help but remember my first experience at Kava. Back then, the freshness & quality of the food were matched beautifully by attentive, thoughtful service-it genuinely felt worth every dollar.
Even the tiramisu used to be something special, with that wonderful layer of chocolate in the centre. It was memorable.
What happened to this place? It feels like both the food & the overall experience have lost some of the magic that once made Kava so remarkable.
