We had high hopes for Cafeterra but unfortunately, our experience fell short. The space is charming, but the food & service were inconsistent & left much to be desired. The London Fog lacked flavor-very mild & underwhelming. The pesto pasta looked pale & tasted just as bland, with the texture leaning toward overcooked as it practically dissolved with every bite.
Dishes came out at completely different times, & one croissant didn't arrive until nearly 20 minutes after the rest of the food. We had to stand up & ask about it after waiting 25 minutes with no update, & the staff at the counter showed no concern or apology-just a casual'it got missed.' The lack of customer service from the counter staff was disappointing, with no greeting or friendliness at all.
The salads were also underdressed-felt like eating plain lettuce. The avocado toast with shrimp was decent (7/10), but still missing a flavorful punch. The croissant, when it finally came, was actually quite good (8/10) & came with a tasty sauce.
To their credit, our server-a young woman-was fast, helpful, & the one saving grace of the visit. She apologized multiple times & even brought over three macaroons as a gesture, which was appreciated. Still, the overall experience had already been affected.
Unfortunately, this visit was a miss, & I wouldn't return. Hopefully, the management addresses the service gaps & consistency in food quality going forwardView more

Everything was amazing! We had the avocado toast with an omelette, the salmon bagels, & some coffees. The staff were friendly, kind, & knowledgeable answering my groups many questions. The ambiance in this place is lovely too, so cozy! Will definitely be back.View more

Very quiet spot for a breakfast or brunch. The order taking lady was very rude & dismissive when I was trying to look at the menu as it was my first time here. A small smile can go a long way.

The food, service & atmosphere are nothing short of fantastic. Beautiful space with loads of artwork. Pastries are beautiful. Food is delicious. Came back twice & if I lived here I'd be here at least twice a week. Best food I had in Montreal & I was here 7 days. I had the avocado toast (sans black olives) twice but there are many other things on the menu I wanted.View more

First brunch in Montreal & so happy we came here! The food was so delicious. We ordered Norwegian breakfast, raspberry danish, avocado toast, salmon croissant & penne pasta. This place has enough space to sit & enjoy a good breakfast & a coffee. I ordered an avocado toast with sunny eggs. I could say that is was tasty but lacked a little bit of crunchiness. The coffee is delightful & the persons who were there very kind & knowledgeable of their menu. The lady who took our order, asked some questions to anticipate our meal.
