About

Kan Bei prepares authentic Chinese cuisine with a specific emphasis on the bold and layered profiles characteristic of Sichuan cooking. The kitchen produces generous servings of poached fish that carry a delicate heat, alongside mapo tofu featuring silken textures and deep, savory spices. Fresh sautéed cabbage provides a bright, crisp contrast to the richer, oil-based dishes that define the core menu. Each plate relies on vibrant seasonings to build complex layers of flavor in every bite. The environment remains clean and well-lit to complement the straightforward presentation of the prepared meals. This establishment presents a wide selection of regional specialties designed to satisfy those interested in intense, traditional Chinese flavor profiles.

Food was delicious. Aslight language barrier but we got through. Packing was a hassle. We wanted to dine in , family of 5 but ended up taking out bcos the closest parking which was opposite the restaurant cost $20. For almost spending $200, we felt the establishment should have parking for free. Our noodles were a bit blant from the normal house Lo mien ( noodles 🍜 ). Otherwise the 5 other dishes we got were excellent. We also were gifted the mango custard! Thank you.
In all, I will recommend, just know you have to find parking if you plan to dine in.

A darn good place to get a good sichuanese bite near the hotels & place du canada. Theor bar lamps have an epic design choice of money bags. The mapo tofu was a bit too oily but the actual tofu was silky & melted in my mouth. The dan dan noodles were also pretty nice too) though they just need a little extra salt). Also, they have an epic neon sign which is cool.

Omg thecabbage dish! In all the years I've lived on this earth, this is the most flavourful yet simple way of creating this dish. The garlic fried ribs were awesome too. Light airy & crispy. It was also very flavourful. The noodles lacked a little bit of flavour but I liked the chewy wide noodles a lot. The beef dish lacked a bit of flavour. It smelled great but it wasn't flavourful. The green beans tasted a litttlllee undercooked & compared for the cabbage dish, it was just ok.

Kan Bei is a fantastic spot for authentic & flavorful Chinese food! The portions are generous, the presentation is beautiful, & the taste is absolutely delicious. We tried the crispy noodles with shrimp & vegetables - the shrimp were fresh & juicy, the veggies perfectly cooked, & the sauce tied everything together with amazing flavor & texture.

We also had the Kung Pao-style dish with rice, & it was packed with flavor - tender bites, crunchy peanuts, & just the right balance of sweet & spicy. Every bite felt fresh & satisfying.

The service was friendly & quick, & the atmosphere is warm & inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for authentic Chinese cuisine.

Great food! Ordered the Sweet Sour Soup, 5/5, Dumplings in Peanut Sauce 4/5, Salt & Pepper Calmar 5/5, Singapour Noodles 5/5 & the Chow Fun in Black Bean Sauce 4.5/5. Our fresh from the Wok dishes were piping hot, with the perfect'Wok Hey'! We can see the kitchen while passing & the sound of the fire under the wok was music to my ears...The service is efficient, atmosphere agreable & the final tag very reasonable. We will be back assuredly & will try several other specialties....they looked delicious on other tables! Next time...

The Hot & Sour soup & the Mapo Tofu were beyond delicious. Extremely flavorful. The mapo felt like authentic shanghainese style. The dan dan noodles were also delicious but needed time to soak the sauce up.
