The waiting time for take out is crazy long. I ordered 12:53 & got my order at around 1:30. When I arrived the couple before me who wants take out backed out because waiting time is 1 hr. , (I assumed they have more order than me)Shouldve been my hint 🤣 I ordered anyway coz Im really craving filipino food (the restaurant I usually go to didnt have take out that day)
& its just 1 order, inasal & rice. While waiting, there was a family at the bar (I thought they are also ordering take out) but they were given plates & etc. after sometime i looked again at their direction I thought they were done eating but i realized their food wasnt served even. 😬 they cancelled eventually coz they were told 20mins more.
You seriously need to improve your preparation time.
The service was great. Very warm, very professional & quick to respond.
Huge interior with nice decors.
Plenty of parking.
Food: i was told by my friends that they had the best-tasting Filipino food in Montreal so we tried some yesterday. We ordered the platter. I didnt find the mix of skewered items to be that flavorful considering the rich marinades & sauces that we have in the Philippines- it just didnt show. Out of everything we ordered, the calamari stood out the most.
People told me that Halo-halo was their best food item in the menu but by thr time we finished dinner, they were about to close so maybe next time.
Really great place if you want Filipino cuisine! The mains were delicious & the Kamayan platter was a good size. The desserts were great as well! ☺?
Vibrant classic filipino restaurant with a modern twist!! A must try filipino restaurant in the West Island. Price is affordable, crew is welcoming, & clean place!

We have been coming back & Kalapaw doesn't disappoint! This time we tried the desserts & it's a great balance of authentic filipino & modern cuisine twist. Also, the music hits the spot!
We were really looking forward to trying this Filipino restaurant, & while the food itself was decent, the service unfortunately made the experience disappointing.
The main dishes took a very long time to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy. We tried to be patient, but the wait felt excessive. What was even more frustrating was the dessert service - we had already paid, & it still took about an hour for the desserts to come out. By that point, we were honestly just tired & ready to leave.
The flavors were good & you can tell there's potential here, but the long delays really impacted the overall experience. I hope the restaurant can improve their timing & service flow, because with better service, this could have been a much better visit.
Kalapaw offered such a good variety of classic Filipino dishes. We had masarap na gulay, sizzling pork sisig, pork bbq & turon. The food was amazing & comforting, we ended up taking a palabok to go! Shoutout to Monnet for making the best pork bbq & turon! Will definitely be back when I visit Montreal again :) Service was great
Food are really good. I love everything but specially try the kalamansi letche flan for dessert, its superb!!! The servings are big too, so be careful if you don't want to end up having a lot of bags to go! This is why whenever people would ask me to recommend a filipino restaurant, i always recommend Kalapaw. Truly a taste of home.
This place is a gem. Parking is easy, & the service is incredibly warm & welcoming. They have lots of choices on the menu, but the Lomi Overload was definitely my favorite-absolutely delicious!
The portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. Highly recommend if you're craving a real Filipino feast!
Love this Filipino joint ! Everything from food to service was just amazing! However, only the Inasal was little too sweet for my tastebuds but everything else was delicious!
We went to Kalapaw for lunch. We were one of the first ones there so we didn't have to wait. The food was absolutely delicious, a true taste of Filipino cuisine. The spaghetti is a must-have, to get a taste of sweet-style Filipino spaghetti. We ordered the kamayan for 2 but it was enough to satisfy 3 adults. We ordered leche flan for dessert & it did not disappoint. Definitely recommend Kalapaw for authentic Filipino cuisine!
