We ordered a few appetisers + sides + mains. For main, we got the lobster spaghetti & off-the-menu beef dish. The beef was truly disappointing. Very dry & tough. We couldn't finish half of it. The appey+side were good. Overall, not sure if it's worth the price. We're glad we tried it once, but it's not a place we would come back when we visit Montreal again. The only thing that was good was the wine selection.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was okay. We were sat near the windows & the seats were so snug, it felt a bit too tight for two people.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here & had an amazing experience.
The service was outstanding - our waiter was incredibly attentive, explaining the menu & daily specials in detail, & helping us choose the perfect wine.

We started with the croquettes, then had the rib eye with carrots as our main dish - everything was delicious. We found it funny that, for my husband's birthday, they placed a candle on a potato instead of a dessert 🤭 - such a quirky & memorable touch!

For dessert, we ordereded - apparently their house specialty. It was worth it.

Total including tip & 4 glass of wine was close to $400.

All in all, one of the best dinners we've ever had in Montreal. Highly recommended!

I was looking forward to trying Joe Beef, but it was very disappointing. For a restaurant charging prices like this, I think they failed it. Service was good tho. It could be an off day, but I won't try again.

I wasn't blown away buy anything especially the drink they offered as their special for the night. The steak was very good but the appetizers left some to be desired. It's a nice spot, for the ambiance & as the name implies, the meat.

I didn't order well. (My wife got the Canale, which was amazing) I went with the duck which was good, but nothing to write home about. It really was a mix of the hospitality & ambiance that keeps this at a 5.

Service is great & the food is good but it is waayyyyyy OVERPRICED.
At 165$ tx & tips in only for a sirloin this is ridiculous. I will not name any places but many many other spots as good if not better for a fraction of this price.
Tables very very close & it is noisy.
Definitely a place to share pics on ig & that's it.
Way overrated in my opinion.
Definitely my last time.

Such an excellent experience! Went for my birthday & had one of the best meals I've had anywhere in the world. Bone marrow custard topped with Uni & halibut with a wild mushroom sauce were highlights! Will absolutely return. Thanks to the whole Joe Beef crew for a fantastic meal! 🍽?
