Wonderful restaurant! Our server was amazing, delicious food & live jazz played during our meal. Definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting Montreal.

This was my third time at Jardin Nelson, & unfortunately my last as I really enjoy the courtyard setting. The food quality has gone down dramatically since my last visit three years ago. The calamari appetizer was awful; 14$ for approximately 10 pieces of undercooked & soggy calamari. The fermiere crepe, which consists of veal, onion, mushroom & white wine bechamel for 17$ was tasteless. My friends had the american pizza & the duck crepe; which were better than the fermiere crepe & calamari, but definitely not worth the prices charged. Presentation equally disappointing, service average.
Ordinaire. Bon service. Je ne pense pas y retourner.
I went to Jardins Nelson with some of my girl friends for a ladies night out. This restaurant is only open for the summer months, so we made sure to go before the closed (they close thanksgiving weekend). We sat in the far back in a corner near a window & close to the live jazz band. The ambiance is just great, the big umbrellas & flowers & vines give it a really romantic look. The Jazz band was amazing! I ordered the shepards pie made with duck which came with a side of beets & fruit ketchup. It was very good, although I found the portion to be a tad bit small for the price I paid. My friends ordered crepes which they said were good, but not as good as they had anticipated. We shared a pitcher of blue sangria which was very good, but also on the pricy side. The service was very good, although I felt a little rushed. We wanted to have some drinks & listen to the music, although they brought us the bill as soon as we were done eating with out offering us more drinks.
