Food was all with fresh ingredients & good cooking. Very relaxed in a warm summer evening to enjoy the food & drinks. Busy place but worth a wait for a table. Servers were very attentive the best they could. Recommend!
We visited Jardin Nelson for my birthday as it had a lot of recommendations. I ordered the citrus shrimp to start & the whisky ribs for my main. Both were excellent. For dessert we chose the giant cookie & they put a sparkler in it for my birthday which was lovely!
Service was good & we got to sit on the patio which was nice. The heaters kept us toasty so we didn't feel the chill as the evening went on. I also enjoyed their drink menu - my favourite drink was the Hugo Spritz.
They do not take reservations at this restaurant so you need to show up & ask for a table.
Nice terrase with live jazz music to grab something to eat or drink.
Everything was alright, except for the quality of the salmon in the salmon avocado toast - it's clearly not good & the taste is not the best. Apart from that, the salad & its dressing was great.
I would like to come back & try other parts of the menu.
Had a great time at Jardin Nelson in Old Montreal! The food & drinks were good overall. The pizza wasn't the best I've had, but still worth trying. The crêpe, on the other hand, was absolutely awesome. The atmosphere really makes this place special, beautiful setting with live music that adds so much to the experience. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area!
This is a must try restaurant in Montreal. The vibes & atmosphere are next level. Ask to sit in the back courtyard if available, it's 100% worth it! The decor, the music (live jazz) really bring the restaurant to life. The food is decent, we had the tostadas as starters & pancakes as main. Pretty good but nothing amazing. But the environment really makes the restaurant unique! Great drink selection, perfect outdoor brunch spot on a nice summer day!
Really nice experience at Jardin Nelson. The service was impeccable! We ordered 2 appetizers: Breaded & baked calamary & Brie with dried tomatoes & basil. Then ordered Pizza Charcutière & Du marché. All was amazing! The drinks were very good also. Had lychee martini (amazing) & a glass of red wine.
The atmosphere is superb, there is a live band playing & the ambiance is really nice as the seating area is outside in a huge garden. They have lots of heaters so dont worry if the weather is cold, you wont feel cold once seated.
Other things to note is that they do not accept groups of more than 6, which is perfectly fine to keep the noise level normal with the band playing.
Overall experience is a 10/10
Very good food & drinks. Service was friendly & efficient prices are reasonable for the quality & quantity.
Only the atmosphere is good. The food & drink is just so so. I dont understand why the food at old port is not so goodd
The place is super nice with live jazz music. Also the servers were very nice. However the food was really not good. I had the avocado toast which was soggy & unseasoned. The poke bowl was not sushi rice nor was it seasoned & barely any sauce. The pizza was doughy & just not that good. So as a place to have a few drinks fantastic, food not so much
The place is great, nice live music, lovely decoration, food is good, order basic drinks because there are not the greatest at making cocktails. Overall, I would go back! Just keep in mind that you have to make a line that takes a little while
Great place in Old Montreal. The food was excellent & the drinks were perfect! Especially on a warm summer evening. The lemonade really hit the spot! The crepes were delicious, in particular the smoked meat crepe. Combining two of my favourite Montreal foods in one! The restaurant's decor & ambiance is something special. You can either sit out on the front patio, or in the back in the outdoor garden. Both great, this time we sat in the garden. It's so nice, there are tables on different levels, there are huge umbrellas & awnings to cover from the sun, & there is amazing live jazz music. It was such a nice place to spend the evening. Service was very good too. Our server, Alexandre, was awesome! Looking forward to our next visit there!
Everything was amazing, the meals, drinks & the service !!! Food took some time to arrive but totally worth it!!! I do really recommend this place, compared with others around this is the best I've tried. Live jazz music it's awesome.. it makes the atmosphere feel so good & chill
Great restaurant with outdoor seating right in old Montréal. Our server (did not get his name) was awesome, he was attentive & personable. We had a late lunch here & then returned for dinner & the live jazz music. We thought the wait time for a table would be long. There was a line already formed when we got there. However, we waited about 15 minutes. for a table. The atmosphere is upbeat & fun. We had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, drinks were too & reasonably priced.
Such great place to go with friends & family to dine. Their food & drinks are so delicious & fresh. Loved the service & warm atmosphere. The place is so beautiful from inside.
The server spilled half of my wife's drink on her. Then charged us full price for the drink.
Loved this beautiful garden restaurant! The line looked long but moved fast. Food & drinks we ordered were all very delicious.

I went to Jardins Nelson with some of my girl friends for a ladies night out. This restaurant is only open for the summer months, so we made sure to go before the closed (they close thanksgiving weekend). We sat in the far back in a corner near a window & close to the live jazz band. The ambiance is just great, the big umbrellas & flowers & vines give it a really romantic look. The Jazz band was amazing! I ordered the shepards pie made with duck which came with a side of beets & fruit ketchup. It was very good, although I found the portion to be a tad bit small for the price I paid. My friends ordered crepes which they said were good, but not as good as they had anticipated. We shared a pitcher of blue sangria which was very good, but also on the pricy side. The service was very good, although I felt a little rushed. We wanted to have some drinks & listen to the music, although they brought us the bill as soon as we were done eating with out offering us more drinks.
