The food was ok but cold. I can't understand why it is not possible to reserve on the weekends?! Why people should waste their time on the line up. & as you do 60-75 minutes line-up, your expectations are getting high. I'm not saying it was bad, but I definitely have had better brunches with a reservation & without a long line-up. Maybe if the dishes were not cold, they would have been tastier. I tried 3 different dishes.

Was excited to see what the hipe was about & sadly was very disappointed. We got there at opening & got a table fairly quickly. However it took close to an hour just to get our coffees despite reminding the waitress a few times. The Oeuf & Boeuf was VERY heavy & bland at the same time, so much sauce you could barely see the eggs. & the sugar shack special plate was also very underwhelming, small portion of soufflé eggs which were more scrambled then soufflé, 2-3 very small hard & stale pieces of oreille de criss, the pancakes were cardboard like. Sadly, for what we thought was a fancy breakfast place, turned out to be very expensive & not at all worth it. Just go to l'oeufrier for better eggs, pancakes & quick service 😅 oh & I'm also writing this while waiting for the waitress to give us the bill, over 20 min now waiting to leave...

The service is phenomenal & the atmosphere of the restaurant is so cozy. Café Janine is decorated with plants, comfortable chairs, & large windows. I loved my experience here, but I didn't feel that the food, despite the beautiful plating, was worth the price. While the dishes were innovative, interesting, & served in large portions, I just didn't find the food amazing enough to justify the price. I loved eating & drinking here as everything was beautifully presented & delicious, but I probably couldn't afford to come back.

Très bon restaurant de brunch & une ambiance agréable. Le service est toujours agréable & le petit shooter de jus frais est toujours bien bon. J'adore cet endroit.

La nourriture était EXCELLENTE & le service, impeccable. Le restaurant ne prend pas de réservations, donc il y a une bonne file d'attente avant d'entrer (pour vous donner une idée, on est arrivés à 10h15 & on a attendu 45 minutes dehors), mais sinon, tout était super!
