We got the brisket & the short ribs & the burger & a couple of other things but The food was pretty cold for some reason so I'm sure it did affect the taste. Would love to go again & hopefully this time it will be served hot

Solid BBQ spot with a fun Western cowboy theme. The meat is well-smoked & flavorful, though some cuts could be more melt-in-your-mouth. Smash burgers are some of the best.
The sides are pretty underwhelming, which is disappointing since good sides help balance out all the heavy meat.
La nourriture est peu goûteuse. Ce qui ressort le plus c'est le gras & la friture. Les prix sont exorbitants & les assiettes petites. Par exemple, les smash Burger ne viennent avec aucun accompagnement & j'ai payé 22$ pour sa. Sans parler que le burger est très petit. Expérience très médiocre.
We've been to several bbq restaurants in montreal, & they always have some Texas decorations , but this place was blaring country, everyone wearing a Stetson & even a waitress wearing daisy dukes. I've been to places on the south like this. & this was a fun imitation of those.
The menu had did not have much information on what the food actually was going to be. For example no information on what's in the Jack flat burger, just a name & a price.
The food came out really fast.
But none of the food was hot. The bread was toasted but full on cold.
The brisket had a nice smoke ring & taste but tepid. The ribs were dry & lacked taste.
There seems to be some games upstairs. Kids seemed to be having fun
We were a group of 5 people & we were recommended to go for the Ranch Menu (59$/person) which gets you a shared platter with all the variety of meats & a shared platter with all of the sides. The meats are all really great. The highlights are definitely the brisket & pork belly. Incredibly tender & flavorful. For the sides, the best ones are the mac & cheese & the fries. The amount of food that comes with the Ranch Menu is more than enough for any appetite. But there is also the option to get theKing Ranch Menu which adds a smash burger per person for 10$.
The service was great. The vibes in the restaurant are also fantastic with Texas Ranch style decor. Plenty of screens to watch sports too.
The price for the dinner came out to 85$ per person with tip (with one diet coke).
All things considered, it was a great experience & I recommend to all BBQ enthusiasts!

Ate here last night & was pretty disappointed with my main course. I ordered the half pound of brisket & it was pretty bland & was DRY. Literally had to use my knife to cut it. Couldn't even use the edge of my fork. I did the finger test & it practically didn't fold at all. It looked like it was either overcooked or it was cut way in advance & sat out & dried up. Service was very fast so it wasn't a case of it drying out while waiting for the server to bring the food to the table. The fries & gravy were really good but there was way too much salt on the fries. We had the brisket nachos to start & those were pretty good. The brisket on the nachos was tender so that made it even more disappointing when I got my plate. The tortilla chips were a bit on the hard side. I don't know if it's the brand they use or it's because they were on the stale side. That would be surprising since it seems like a busy place & the nachos looked like a popular dish.
The Smoked Turkey club looked good & so did the smash burgers. My friends enjoyed those.
The service was very good though. Our server was really nice & very attentive. She came to see us often & kept things running smooth.
Despite that, I'm not sure if I would go back due to the quality & the price. If I do go back it would be to try the ribs or pulled pork.
Au départ nous voulions aller à La Belle & la Boeuf puis comme il refuse les chiens nous sommes retrouvé à ce restaurant qui part déjà à +10 d'être dogfriendly. J'ai appelé avant donc il mon réserver une table sur le bord de la clôture! Très bon service il ont même proposé un verre d'eau pour mon chien. Mon burger était très bon. Les restaurants dogfriendly rejoingne beaucoup plus de clientèle & gagne la clientèle de resto qui ne le sont pas!
Nous étions 4, en général le service était bon, mais pour la nourriture c'est autre chose. Le brisket était sec comme une semelle de botte. Le'smash burger' n'était aucunement smash, la viande n'avait aucun goût & le fromage prenait tout la place, il était pâteux. En contre partie, la dinde, les ailes de poulets ainsi que la salade de betterave & chèvre était délicieuse!
First time at Laval location. Waitresses dressed like cowgirls (somewhat objectified). I ordered a double smash burger with a poutine & an order of potato salad. Burger was delicious, poutine was tasty. The potato salad had a spice in the mayonnaise that I didn't like but I guess some people might. They should warn that the potato salad has cheese & bacon on it for those who might not like that. Overall, I am looking forward to trying other things on the menu such as philly steak. Oh & the dessert was a 12$ poudding chomeur which was very good but expensive at 12$. I'll go back for sure.

La nourriture est excellente & j'ai manger le smash burger wow !!,la poutine ,le brisket,le mac n cheese,les ailes de poulet piquantes vraiment toute était excellent ,Le restaurant était pas mal bondé pour un mercredi & l'ambiance y était excellent avec le groupe de musique qui était vraiment talentueux mais par dessus tout le service a été impeccables ,pas d'erreur de commande etc… je vous recommande ce restaurant pour une expérience parfaite des états du sud américains
Went to Jack Flat BBQ with a group & had a great time overall. We shared a mix of offerings - burgers, ribs, brisket, & turkey - & everything was tasty & well-prepared. The meat was flavourful & tender across the board. Sides were decent, though nothing standout.
Only downside: none of the food was served hot, which was a bit disappointing, especially for BBQ. Also, it's a little on the pricey side for what you get.
That said, the friendly & attentive service made up for it, & the atmosphere was lively & fun - even caught a bit of line dancing!
The food is really good, tasty, & not expensive. You can sit inside with music & dancing or go outside to enjoy the weather. I suggest trying the brisket, smash burger, & poutine because they are generous with their portions, it's definitely worth it.
Il faut absolument réserver & bien à l avance . La nourriture arrive très ( trop ) vite . Ils te donnent 2 h . C est très bon . Conseil prenez plat partage de viande vous avez un peu de tout & c est excellent. Les burgers & autres viennent sans accompagnement. Il faut commander à part . Le brisket est de loin notre favori . Les drinks sont très bons . Bco de bruit mais c est le but aussi . Service rapide attentionnée. Endroit pour fêter donc grinchatds s abstenir . Nous reviendrons .

Charlotte our waitress is very nice & accommodating.
Our first time at Jack Astors & was really impressed with what we ordered (Smoked burger & Chicken tenders). Great ambiance! We will definitely come back.
Wow! This place is amazing! Great service, & the food was phenomenal. We had the platter which came to the table with burgers, smoked brisket, burnt ends, wings, mac & cheese coleslaw. We need this in Ontario, please!!!
The food is mid. The burger have no taste. The brisket is good but the bark have no taste. I'm missing the smokey flavor. Too much hype. This is a good BBQ restaurant but nothing exceptional.
Un super beau resto, le décor est magnifique & j'aime bien la thématique cowboy. Nous étions 4 alors nous avons pris l'assiette a partager ranch. Une abondance de nourriture. A mon goût, il y a trop de viande très relevé (trop épicé), il serait bien de doser dans les saveurs. La gaufre au maïs, nous sommes 3 qui n'avons pas aimé c'est pour cette raison le 4 étoiles. Somme toute je recommande le resto, la pochaine le smash burger sera mon choix!
