Overall, at Jack Astor's the reviews portray a lively, family-friendly spot with reliable burgers, chicken, bowls and plenty of portions, and friendly service, though a few visits suffer from mismatched orders, slow checks, or higher prices for dishes that don't stand out. Diners frequently praise the food as tasty and plentiful, with bar vibes and quick drink service during games, while the atmosphere is described as fun and sometimes loud, with holiday decorations that delight families and crayons on the table for kids. The staff are often highlighted as attentive and accommodating, able to navigate dietary needs and explain menu options, yet some reports reference outdated decor and POS issues, language barriers for non French speakers, and occasional order errors. For many, Jack Astor's remains a go-to for casual nights out, birthday celebrations, or catching a game, with plans to return, though a few guests note that portions can feel smaller for the price.
Service was absolutely awful. Not a difficult order. It was simply chicken fingers & the wait ridiculous. It was a quiet night a lot of wait staff just getting things done. When we pointed out we still hadn't received our chicken fingers waitress said haven't you received them. When we said no, keep in mind she hadn't checked on us at any point, she blamed the kitchen. After we received them finally she never once checked on us until I asked for the bill.
Food was amazing aside from some minor complaints. We had Pad Thai, the buffalo blue crispy chicken sandwhich, & the smoke n BBQ sandwich. Nachos were good but way too salty. Smoke n BBQ sandwich tasted uniformly the same, like sauce & beef. Alright but would have preferred a slightly less melted palette. The shark attach soda drink was deliciously cute!
Being going to this place since I was little, really good burgers & chicken tenders, I feel like the fajitas got a little worse in quality, Elvis table is also a cool feature.
I go at least once a year, it's my favorite restaurant. Also kids love the booths & drawing on the table. I recommend going in person instead of delivery
Went for a sisters dinner tonight. There was an issue with one of the meals. That being said our server Nikki & the manager Stacey were absolutely fabulous. They could not have apologized more even though it was definitely not there fault. Awesome employees to say the least
Took me 31 years to muster the strength to go to Jack Astors because i always thought it would be trash like all those other vieux duluth chain locations only old peprula go to..

We were served by a wonderful waitress named Cyan, who was very professional, efficient, & always smiling. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning, especially for families. The food was delicious, & I loved the unique concept of having a tablecloth on the table where everyone can draw & write,it's such a fun & creative idea! I highly recommend this place.
A little disappointed this time. All three people I was with said they wouldn't order their meal again.
Nothing wrong with the food, but nothing stand out either & when you're paying $20-30/meal I want something that stands out a bit. Older menu was better than the current one.
Messed up our order.
Be careful on the terrasse as there's a lot of sun, easy to bake & burn if you're not careful.
Easy to get to.
Plenty of parking.
Update,
Overcooked burger, everyone else enjoyed their meals.
Amazing restaurant! Great prices, generous portions, & truly delicious food. I had The eggnog Christmas drink, the coconut chicken curry now & a Christmas caramel dessert. The décor is impeccable. Ante was exceptionally attentive, & the manager was just as welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back. Thanks a lot!

The Hunter chicken is sooo good!! :) the servers are the best! :) I like this place because it's not so rowdy but you still get that bar & grill vibe :)
