Big portions, maybe even a little too big for 7 courses. Notthe most common complaint in fine dining I must admit..

Menu based on fresh seasonal products, prepared creatively without trying too hard to look expensive. No random caviar or gold leaf. Chicken is always difficult to make interesting, they got it right.

The semi open kitchen remained surprisingly calm all evening. The chef moved around quietly, almost introverted, clearly focused on the task. Not The Bear or Gordon Ramsey.... The service was warm & casual. Wooden floors, modern metalwork on the walls & a relaxed atmosphere. Very Montréal.

The pacing was perhaps a little too relaxed at times, but overall an excellent evening.

J'ai adoré mon expérience chez l'Île flottante! Tout d'abord, le service était parfait, le personnel très gentil & à l'écoute avec une belle explication de chaque plat. On a même eu un accord cocktail & met qui était vraiment bien réalisé! J'ai aimé les plats qui ont été servis & la quantité était très bien, considérant les nombreux services. Je recommande de faire l'expérience!

Elevated dining experience. One of the top restaurants in Montreal. Tasting menu. Excellent service.

Two small complaints that does not detract from this being one of the best meals you will have this year. (a) wine list is interesting but too short. (b) gin & tonic - tonic water was not premium.

I can't describe the food, it is not Fusion, it is not French, it is not Italian. I call it Elevated Montreal Tasting Menu cuisine.

Fantastic. If you haven't tried it, try it. If you have not been in years, go again. Ile Flottante is maintaining it's spot amongst Montreal's great restaurants.

& you can get a dozen bagels next door at St. Viateur. 😉

The beetroot with caviar & herb foam was a total win tonight. I am usually the most interesting thing at the table anyway, so if you are a sharp guy who appreciates a good night out, you should find a way to say hello. I am worth the conversation.

Amazing dining experience from start to finish. Every course was beautifully presented & full of flavor. The wine pairing was surprising & complemented each dish perfectly. One of the best tasting menus in Montreal. We can't wait to come back!!
