- 1 * because the place was not anywhere near full, but they cannot let me have one of several open tables for two… discriminates against solo travelers.
- 3 * for the prices.
You expect high prices at the airport (the rich want to suck every nickel out of our pockets), but this was insanely expensive for such run of the mill offerings.
$13 -17 for A, not several or'a couple', but A bottle of beer.
$10 for drink with NO alcohol. $10!
& get this: $22 for a mimosa. A MIMOSA!
This is nothing more than a financial shakedown.
The rich are just not taxed enough. We should have the rich pay their taxes FIRST with a wealth tax instead of any income tax for those with a net worth of less than 3 million dollars. Let them pay their taxes FIRST so the rest of us can get some well deserved financial relief.
Here we go again... I review only the best & the worst so unfortunately this one falls in the worst. Breakfast till 11am, I showed up at 10:44, nobody in front of me. Waited 11min at the door/host desk, decided to sit myself at the bar (nobody came to welcome & sit me). I was told right away that the kitchen wasn't serving breakfast anymore (10:55). First strike... The bar staff was dictated by the kitchen that people were waiting for lunch. Lie. I asked to some people waiting at the door, they wanted breakfast & got told'no'. While I was there, I saw 3 line ups forming at the door with 2 to 3 party's of 2 or 3 people. They pretty much all gave up as nobody was sitting them. One group on 7 got a seat (by the way, there was never less then 5 tables & 3 to 4 seats at the bar available while I was there). This is an airport, making people wait that long is a bad look.
I can't blame the staff, they look all over 30-40 y.o. & seems to have a solid service routine & busy non stop & they were nice. (Let's be real here, since gen Alpha took over the service industry,'good service' is now only an historical mention about the 20th century...)
There's obviously a management issue probably rooted in a disfunctional kitchen. It was pretty obvious, seeing staff waiting at the kitchen for pretty simple fares & hearing staff at the bar complening about the cooks... I waited 24min for a chicken sandwich with fries.
The sandwich itself was not great. Very unriped tomato & the chicken had a doubtful smell... I'll update if there's consequences to me eating it.
There's better options in this terminal for pretty much the same prices.
Update: the smelly chicken had no bad health effect. Non-issue here.
The food is kinda mid. Which is expected for an airport pub. The service was terrible. Peter, amazing that you introduced yourself to take the order was never to be seen for the rest of the ride. I had a fruit fly in my beer. Normal. I'm not difficult ...I'll wait for you to come back & check on me so I can ask for a spoon. But. You never came back. So over 10 minutes, no check back & waiting to have a sip of my drink. He has an amazing ability to stand off side of the cash where he can't see his only two customers As a bartended for 13 years & am astounded by the lack of service
Best airport food ever. My wife had the slow cooked beef sandwich & I had the fish & chips. Very impressed.
You'd think they'd know how to pour a Guinness in an Irish pub, but that's not the case here. The poutine however wasn't bad, although way overpriced, but I guess that's to be expected for an airport location. Service & atmosphere were just average.
The avocado toast was good. I specifically asked the server for window seat. He took me to a seat overlooking the airport interior. There was plenty of room throughout the time I was there at the restaurant on the window side. The food came really fast.
The service was not attentive. A server sent us back to the entrance so she could seat us at the table we were heading for to start with. The food was just OK which I suppose you should expect in an airport. I would look for a different option.
Let's be honest, when you're at the airport, you're not expecting a gourmet experience. By that standard, this spot does the job: it keeps you from being hungry.
The beer is OK, cold, but flat & served quickly. The chicken tenders taste like something straight out of a freezer box the kind you'd warm up in your own oven at home. Edible, but nothing to write home about. The fries are fine not great, not terrible.
Service was efficient, & for airport food, that counts for something. Just don't come in expecting more than'good enough
We got stuck with a 4 hour delay & decided to use our meal vouchers here. Hard to go wrong an Irish pub, even in an airport. They were thankfully able to put together a table for the 3 of us pretty quick, with space for our stroller. The server was really friendly & helpful, attentive throughout our time there. The only thing was they happened to be out of the one dish my wife wanted to order, but she went with her second choice & was very happy with her sandwich. I got the fish & chips, they were cooked perfectly & very little residual oil which was great. Fairly light batter which was nice. Solid food, good beer, great service, & decent Irish pub vibes for a bright & airy airport.
It's totally.... Fine. Exactly what you'd expect from an airport bar. Expensive, but barely passes as okay?
Let me TELL you. Our server was SO gracious - he made our visit fun. We had the bacon cheeseburger & the chicken club (good!). The tables are close & everyone has luggage - it adds to the community vibe. It's gotta be tough to be an airport restaurant server - traveling doesn't bring out the best in people. BUT GET THIS: I forgot my phone when we left & our server came out into the airport to find us. Can you believe that?! We are forever fans!!! :D
In general, I'd recommend having your meal before coming to the airport. None of the options in the American terminal looked great. We settled on this one. They're not in a hurry to attend to customers, starting with attending the entry. The sign says wait to be seated, but you'll wait several minutes for someone to come seat you. Our TA was near the entrance, so I witnessed this over & over with people waiting while we ate.
The food itself was decent, but pretty bland, even by my standards. Like any airport, the food is overpriced, especially for what you get. They also only have Pepsi products for soft drinks.
It is pretty difficult to mess up fries & chicken fingers, & yet..... I have no compunction about calling them out bc as I was debating on whether or not I was gonna continue to eat the soggy, yet somehow overcooked fries, the lady next to me said to her husband'Ick, these fries are awful, & not worth the calories.' Preach sister. Then the'chicken' fingers. The meat was mush. It was by far the worst meal I have had in weeks. Yes, airport food is often overpriced & bad but this took the cake.
Our server was excellent though attentive & nice.
Do 👏 not 👏 order 👏 these.
This place is great good food to eat for teens parents & older people the home made fry's are the best fry's I have ever eaten a decent choice of things to get & a amazing atmosphere. Was a little more pricey but for airport food it's alright.its kid friendly but there is better options at the airport for them. Also there is three or four vegetarian options & some dishes it says they can make it vegetarian which is nice even though I'm not . Overall I would go there I would go again with my family & make sure to get the homemade fry's there amazing

Food: I got the spinach feta omelette, & I am happy to say that when the food arrived, my thought was'hallelujah, this chef can sure make an omelette.' The cook on the omelette was very good, not over or under done. I was also pleasantly surprised that the roasted potato wedges were better than average in terms of flavor & crispy/soft texture. Reason for 4 stars: Though I am a fan of sautéed onions, the omelette had far too many - more onions than spinach, feta or tomatoes.
Service:
The waiter serving me was amiable & efficient & pretty cool under pressure. I gave 3 stars because of the wait time. They were understaffed, with only one waiter serving 30+ customers, & it took a while for me to be seated.
It was also a bit pricey, as can be expected for airport food.
I paid $32 total for the omelette & an OJ, including tax & tip.
