Reviews describe Hum - Sushi Ramen Dumpling as a warm, calm all vegan spot on the Plateau where creative Japanese inspired dishes like vegan sushi, ramen, dumplings and gyoza are flavorful and beautifully presented; the omakase experiences and attentive service are frequently praised, and many note the strong value, tasty mocktails, and a cozy, zen atmosphere, though a few mentions warn of slower service on busy nights and the ramen sometimes being a touch salty or the door letting in cold air.
The food, atmosphere & service were are really good. They have the best miso soup & good sushi options. The $29 tasting menue is more than enough for one person.
This is one of my favourite restaurants & I'm not even vegan. It was so good that we kept ordering more. Some of the best food I've had in the city!! Atmosphere & service was great too! Also very fair pricing

great food! the flavours & presentation are spot on! the atmosphere is very relaxing & zen. great place to take a beat & be in the moment. the service is quick & attentive. we took the Omakase 1 menu. We were expecting the waitress to mention which type of sushis/dumplings/dessert we were getting as she was serving them, so we know what to order when we go back. but that's a minor detail. we will definitely be back. the place got packed pretty quickly on a Friday night
Great find for some spontaneous takeout! Fantastic flavors, good use of different textures in the ramen, & great gyoza. Well worth it for a vegan meal or otherwise~
Absolutely the best in the area! Small newcomers to the Plateau. Fresh, flavorful dumplings with awesome sauces & served by a nice family. Preferable to the chains nearby.
Edit: now that they have become HUM the place is even better with its creative menu, mocktails & cozy new interior design. Bravo for their reinvention!
Ok, so the food in this place is insane. It is worth planning your trip to Montreal to just go & eat here. Sushi is out of this world. This place is a MUST, MUST, MUST. The service is really nice, people that work here are really kind & professional. This is better then any Michelin restaurant you think you need to go, don't go there come here & enjoy the best food you will probably ever eat.

I'm not vegetarian, but I dislike the taste of animal based stock / broth & I can't eat pork for religious reasons. That's why I've always avoided ramen. I just finished my Sapporo miso ramen at Hum & I loved everything about it!! Food tasted so good it didn't even resemble typical vegetarian dishes! Thank you
Not only was the food absolutely delicious & flavourful at this cozy little vegan spot, but the service was out of this world. Our waiter was so kind & attentive. Will definitely be coming back!
Very calm vegan spot, though there were some vegetables in the udon I didn't really enjoy (like the carrots). Dumplings were good & my dad liked the ramen.
