sushi(51) bbq(32) recommend(19) korean(19) rapide(14) fresh(13) all you can eat(11) variety(10) tip(10) price(9) viande(8) group(7)Walked in Hoshi with no reservation & no prior Korean bbq experience. The receptionist was very nice & found us a table even though it was a Friday evening, they gave us an hour & a half before the tables reservation would arrive. We get seated & the bbq gets lit. Electronic menu on your phone so you can order constantly is a nice way to do things. So I get a Sapporo pitcher (yeah, yeah, sue me) for the lady & I along with some veggies & meat. Everything arrived almost instantly. Sushies & other Asian style foods are available. Beef, pork, veal, chicken, shrimps & the likes & they also have seasoned skewers of the aforementioned meats. You got the typical Asian style American food also (heavily fried & pankoed items) All in all we ate to our content & the food was very good. 41.99$ per person plus the beer & tip got me just south of 150$ Kids eat for cheaper. Strong 4 out of 5, enjoyed it much, will return. Unrelated picture of the eclipse for visibility
Très déçu, la viande est vieille avec un gout trop fort qui reste en bouche apres des heures, suhis très basiques & secs.
It is a very nice place. The beef is good & every staff is very friendly. I will definitely come again.
Food is okay for the price, not bad. Service & atmosphere are standard. May or may not be going back. Overall okay.
First time here a couple of days ago & it was alright. I've had better korean bbq than this one. Variety of food could be better, I couldn't find anything noodles or fried rice on the menu. Just white 🍚. Service was good, no negatives there. Just know that you only have a max. of 2hrs to order & be done eating from the time you get seated. I most likely won't be back here again but it was good. & I'll recommend their mango ice cream to anyone that goes there. The best I've had anywhere that's all you can eat.
Update: back again last night & indeed, menu was improved & taste good. Changed to 4 stars, 5 if the rices were less dry & have more flavor.
Food is great. The idea of bbqing & sushi is really nice. When checking the price, take care when looking online that there are 2 Hoshi's. The website of the one on the West Island only has a Facebook page. The other on St Jerome has a regular website. Prices are different though.
Terrible service. I have a gluten intolerance (not serious, no celiac, but enough to have me sick for a few days) & our server told us there was NOTHING on the menu I could eat. She didn't even try. When I persisted she finally got someone else who explained the things I could have. So not worth $40, even for the people who can eat everything. The food was decent, more so than we expected, but you're basically on your own unless someone is dropping off food/drink at the table or clearing. Also, the parking lot is insanely small for the number of restaurants, it's a zoo. Do not recommend.
Quite a wide variety of options & the food is pretty good. The sushi is what you would expect from an all you can eat that mostly focuses on Korean BBQ (the fish doesn't really taste fresh & lots of rice). The meats were a little chewy, but the taste was good. Service was very nice & quick. Overall not a bad place to go for some all you can eat in the West Island.
6 of us went & it was great super fast service & great sushi & BBQ
Service tres rapide. Viande & sushi frais. J'ai beaucoup aimé le grill & les banquettes.
Had supper with a group of friends & amazing food & service. Definitely recommend this place!
Very nice place to go with friends & family & enjoying the food . Amazing service !!!
We went tonight to the restaurant for dinner with another couple Our friends who recommended this place . It was my first time there & I am a night person as I work in restaurant & perform in many places. The food was extremely good The idea of self cooking your meat & veggies is amazing . The dessert sushi frutti is Sublime BUT the SERVICE... well it was divided between a super Nice waiter that took care of our table ( i believe his name was TIM) & another person who was so RUDE & So Bad for the customer service the worst that I have encountered. It isn't our problem to deal with a Manager who had a bad day or rough times . I think the HR department should know better. It was a very Bad experience ( customer service wise ) & I was willing to bring my kids to try this new restaurant & new system ( they would have loved it ) but I don't think I would be doing so after what happened with us tonight. The four of us were so disappointed that I guess we will have a review about that all of us . Unfortunately all the amazing night was ruined because of this " mistake " P.S : first rudness from this person was his way of talking with me telling me about my foot that was in his way ( well I am a 6'4" 28lbs guy ) so its either the tables get bigger or I sit in a way that my feet will both be stretched because I Don't fit like a normal person . Am sorry but this isn't a way to talk to a customer & 3 other incidents occurred with the same person especially when we were given the bills ... RUDE person & RUDE Manners . Thank you.
We went on a Friday night. The food was very good. The meat that we've got to cook ourselves was delicious. The sushi was good as well( no sashimi but that's ok) the dessert( ice cream, fruity sushi) delicious. The staff are divided between welcoming , great customer service & some others who were very very rude with no sign of any knowledge of customer service's etiquette. If i'm dining outside i surely wouldn't want to endure the bad day that the manager or waiter is having but anyways, as a recruiter, I would advise the hiring managers to recruit wisely their staff.
‼️ The MANAGER threw the bill on our face‼️ Its our second time here, may be the last one. Service is not bad, the staff are good, but the manager was very impolite. He threw the bill on our table just because we didn't know that he is the manager & we were thinking he is a waiter. Another ruined day because of some one's attitude.
